Now even the chaplains are being censored.
It’s no secret anymore that there is a growing segment of people in this country who want to eliminate God from our society. Whether they are atheists who want to force their views on others or merely those who believe that God has no place in our lives, the agenda is the same.
They want to remove God from our coins, our city halls, our classrooms and everywhere else He has been acknowledged throughout the history of our country. We’ve come to expect this from many people, but it’s a relatively new phenomenon in our military. Once a bastion of faith in God, the military under the Obama Administration is persecuting soldiers who are open about their faith and is doing its best to eliminate God from the barracks.
The latest example is an Air Force Base that has been directed by the Pentagon to remove a video tribute to First Sergeants because it mentions the word “God” and might be considered offensive to atheists or Muslims. First Sergeants are senior noncommissioned officers who look after enlisted members.
The tribute was created by a chaplain at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst who wrote a poem titled, “God Created A First Sergeant.” Later it was adapted into a video with a narration.
“Proliferation of religion is not allowed in the Air Force or military,” wrote the chief of the Air Force News Service Division, according to Fox News. “How would an Agnostic, Atheist or Muslim serving in the military take this video?”
The decision to censor the video comes a few days after the Military Religious Freedom Foundation ordered the Air Force to remove an inspirational painting from Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. The painting included a reference to a Bible verse in the Gospel of Matthew that states, “Blessed are the peacemakers.”
As one frustrated airman said after the incident, “If our chaplains cannot speak the name of God, let alone Christ, why have them?” he asked. “I’ve towed the company line for years, but this has pushed me too far to sit quietly while personal liberties are trampled upon.”
Has anybody noticed that the further we push God out of our society, the worse things get? It’s as if God is saying, “OK, you want Me out of your lives, so be it. I’ll remove My hand of blessing from your country and we’ll see how that works out for you.”
How do you feel about this situation? Are we taking the right course of action by removing God from our society? Is separation of church and state a good thing? Does it mean that God’s name should be taken out of all public places? I’d love to hear your opinions about this.
To begin, I too agree with the comments that have been shared by my fellow Christians in this blog. I, like Jerry Blakeley, am an older American, born in the 40’s, and retired from the Marine Corps in 1987. I have been in combat, served in fostering relationships on an international level and continue to support all Americans that support our Constitution. God the Father is, has always been and will continue to be present in this Great Nation. The first and most important thing that needs to be done by the American people is to dismiss these organizations that are trying to abolish our Christian faith. America was founded on free speech for all, but the politicians of city, state and federal governments are so worried about their own importance, they do not stand up to these radical or left wing groups. It would be nice for a change in this country to see the American people start to challenge the Federal Government on the edicts that are pushed down to the military. The military is not the problem with removing religion, it is the political arena that pushes the military to uphold their religious beliefs or the lack of their religious beliefs. The American people can put a stop to this quickly, by replacing politicians that do not share the American belief in Christianity. It has come to pass that there are too many Americans are basically fencepost sitters and do nothing. I read allot, about how things are corrupt in our city, state and federal governments and I see little being done. This is the fault of the American people, by not standing up for what they truly believe in and that is The Father. If we want to take back this country, we must do something about it and that simply means to get rid of the crooked, lying, self-serving politicians that have and will continue to destroy this Great Nation. Putting religion back in the forefront within this nation, is up to those Americans that believe in The Father. As an orphan, I learned at a very young age that ACTIONS speak louder than works. What Americans need to do is act.
WE, THE PEOPLE, HAVE ALLOWED, YES ALLOWED THE FEW TO RULE THE MAJORITY. THATS NOT RIGHT. IF WE, THE PEOPLE, EACH KICKED IN ONE DOLLAR, WE COULD COUNTER SUE THE MINORITY FOR INVASION OF MY RIGHTS AND BANK RUPT THEIR ORGANIZATIONS, AND TIE THEM UP FOR YEARS IN LITIGATION. IMAGINE THAT! AND, WHY DON’T WE THE CHRISTIANS TELL THEM TO “GO TO HELL”
One comment I can share with the readers of this article is simply this: GOD CREATED THIS WORLD WE LIVE IN, AND WHEN OUR FINAL DAY COMES, WE WILL SEE HIM FACE-TO-FACE, WITH AN ANGEL CARRYING OUR BOOK OF LIFE.

I think it is horrible that out nation that was founded on Godly principles is now removing God from everything because of a few people who never believed in my God anyway. However, it is stated in the book of Revelations that every nation shall fall, and our nation is no different. The only nation that is protected by the hand of God is Isreal. He will not let them perish until the Lord comes back. Keep your eyes open Christians. Read your Bible (study to show thyself aprroved). These are all things that have to happen. It started with the homosexuals getting married, Transgenders being praised, sexual fluidity, and now it is with the country removing a God from everything else. The Devil is stepping up cause God is backing off. It all has to take place to set up the Tribulation. Those who remain will need to be de-sensitized to the evil that they will experience. It is all part of the plan. You just have to study the Bible to see it.

God . He is our Hope in the future as He has been in the past. We are still a christian country and with a faith of acceptance for others and their beliefs. Why are we bowing to the few ?
I don’t understand why we cater to the minority when it’s obvious that 90% of this country believes in God. At some point the majority needs to stand up and say enough is enough! Politicians only believe in what their biggest donors think so allowing them to decide our beliefs in this day in age is wrong.

This week, April 30th-May 6th, was first designated by President Abraham Lincoln to be a national time of repentence and earnest prayer in and for America! His perceptions and recommendations then are just as timely today. As a people, we need to be honoring God and His Word acting in Godly Wisdom, and to pray for our leaders to do the same. Current events DAILY confirm to me that Spiritual Battle is REAL and intensifying here in the US and throughout the World producing evil, destruction and chaos, violence, hatred, lack and greed… growing unrestrained.
American Presidents and military leaders (Washinton, Jefferson, Patton, Rickenbacker…to name a few of many) shared their faith and dependence upon God for wisdom, strength, protection, provision and direction. Those SERVING today in government and the military are just as much in need of God’s direction, provision and care as were those who have served. BTW…My husband kept his US GOVT ISSUED NT he received while in service during the Vietnam War. In God We Trust is still stamped on US currency printed by the US Government.Our military’s priciple role is to protect the nation from enemies foreign and domestic and prevent weakening. Several founding fathers wrote that without Judeo-Christian principles remaining a standard of our nation these United States would not survive.
We cannot be a light for others when our lamps are empty. l continue to pray for America and for all nations, tribes and individuals to know and revere God, to overcome evil and to do Good. Through God’s Holy Spirit and Truth….prayer/faith and God’s Word (weapons for our warfare ) we can pull down strongholds here at home and overseas. When you have a Muslim President, why would he not remove God from our country. If anyone believes that Obama is Christian or otherwise, think again. Why did he have the Muslim gathering and prayer on the White House lawn? He never invited the Christians to do so.

Has anyone ever read the book the Harbinger. The attack on the world trade Center as horrible as it was was a warning from God to take our nation back to Him. And they think we are so much better off! 25 years ago when my children were in elementary school, ONE person objected to religious education in the school, even though any child was excused if not what they believed. This ONE person made such a fuss about THEIR rights, to heck with the rest of 99% rights, and successfully bullied the school to cancel these teachings. The school could not however, stop the children from learning God’s ways. A church, that was located right across the street, picked up the children and bused them across the street once a week. My own children later in High School were told they couldn’t pray in school. WHAT? So how are they gonna enforce that nonsense. I’m with you Tim. If we don’t give the reins back to God, this nation is doomed. Ever wonder how many will cry out to God when things get unbearable? :(

Rocco I have to say I agree with you 100% and would only add a couple of things I believe no one talks about. How is this happening to our country? It starts with the wealthy (those who are gaining worldwide and their puppets) which are those in office who were “bought and paid for” when being put into office. Fools are those who watch TV and believe everything they hear they do not take the time to look at EVERY view from all over the world themselves. (I believe this is planned as well, because everyone is so busy trying to work two or more jobs and simply are too busy to even find time to listen and watch closely. However, if there is nothing more important in todays world, it is that you take the time every day to look at BBC news from worldwide. These are the groups who are paid for by the PEOPLE (not some company or wealthy person who is spreading his/her lies to gain more power/ money). My GREATEST fear is that we loose the truth of the internet and freedom to speak our own opinions. Or that the wealthy will be able to control the BBC stations and internet. Once we loose our ability to talk to each other and understand the basics that sits in each others heart, there will be no more hope. So I will continue to believe that each person on this earth has their right to a decent life, with food, housing, medical care, fair wages. We are all EQUAL and need to be a TEAM to fight what is the REAL issue in the world. “GREED and POWER”. Put our people back to work, that means every single REAL American or Canadian. Close the boarder until we can get control of our own house. I do not see a difference between the two countries while I’m sure others do. But I can assure you the desire and drive of the people are the same. ALL MUST WORK and be paid a fair wage, right to medical care, choose your own religion or not, right to decent housing, healthy food (NOT OGM), right to protect your country and home against anyone trying to impose on your safety or equal rights. Hi Mike I am a daughter of a WWII veteran and I am appalled also. My father was in the military from 1940-1975 when he retired as a Major in the Air Force. He flew 18 mission in WWII as a pilot where he earned the Air Medal and the DFC for saving his crew after being shot down. He also flew over 100 mission on the Berlin Air-lift. Dad died in 2005 and I am THANKFUL he has missed what has happened to the nation he, and so many others, risked their lives for to keep this country free. And the golf, or GOOF guy continues to destroy the military. I am so sick and tired of the sheep thinking someone like me is a racist for not supporting this buffoon. Here in particular is a private letter Thomas Jefferson wrote to the Danbury Baptist Association where (I think 11 years after the constitution was signed) the words were heard for first time “separation of church and state.” However, if you read the entire letter (which was not meant as a bill to be passed) in context, you can understand what he is saying. Nowhere else will you find that phrase but how convenient to be able to twist its meaning to fit an agenda. Imagine if that private letter had never been saved. We are a Christian nation. Do the research. In 1781, Robert Aitken, printer to the Continental Congress, petitioned Congress for permission to print Bibles on his presses saying they would be “a neat edition of the Holy Scriptures for the use of schools,” and Congress approved and appointed a congressional committee to oversee the project. This first English-language Bible printed in America was called “The Bible of the Revolution.”

You can research the charts for SAT scores, international scores, divorce, crime, church attendance…we the people changed and allowed for change and now we are reaping what we have sown…what we voted in…our “representatives”…but we are also smart enough to realize what we’ve done and can find a committee to make a difference instead of just complaining. You do have options. Start working on the solution you’d like to see become a reality.

By using that phrase in your article, you’re propagating it’s completely false notion. The founding fathers did not “separate” church and state, but removed the state from the church and insisted that the state would not require a specific version/sect of Chrisitianity (as the Kings of England had done).
It’s as simple as that, despite what leftist idiots would have you believe, as a Higher Being (God) is in conflict with their wish that the State be the final word.
In my opinion, this is another example of political correctness gone awry. Whether the Atheists, Muslims or any other religious groups like it or not, this country was founded under Christian principles. Attempts to remove references to god in all areas of society are not only unrealistic, but they’re un-American and, again, in my opinion a grave mistake.

Each time I tune in to the news, both local and world, I expect to see how much closer to the time when Jesus comes back. The be-headings we see now are just a fore-taste of what will come and especially so after God’s Spirit departs Earth along with all believers (the Rapture). It will truly be hell on Earth then.
Our nation is not mentioned in the book Revelation, in the Bible. Could it be that our nation won’t exist because it collapsed from within? It’s heading that way. All because we have rebelled and taken God out of our lives.

God is a military man too. Lord of Hosts is His name. His armies will defeat evil once and for all in the battle of Armageddon. All our valiant military men should be able to call on God wherever and whenever they want to. He alone grants them peace and can save them from danger. God is the real Commander in Chief and His plan will be done according to His will. I really feel sorry for those who don’t know Jesus as Saviour. Want to be saved? Christians have never asked atheist to believe in God, they were never forced to go to church or read the bible so why are we who believe in God being forced to take God out of our schools and out of the courtrooms where some people really need Him and now out of the military. Without God satan is walking freely all over the world causing hell for everyone and loving every minute of it. Praying to God helped many people get through many bad times in their lives and will continue to do so for many more, If people don’t want to believe that is their privilege, but leave the ones that do alone. Don’t take what we have know all our lives away from us. Put prayer back in the schools, the kids will turn out better people for it. Leave the military chaplains preach what they know is right. It’s time to stop doing everything to please the atheist and non believers. Christians should have their rights to worship and have God everywhere if they so choose. If they don’t want their children in school where the Lords prayer is recited every day then let those children leave the classroom until it’s over. We the parents of Christian raised children will be very happy for our children to recited it.
This country was founded under the protection of God and a strong belief in his Presence. A look at the founding fathers’ writings will immediately reveal that. The Constitution of the US was drafted for a country that was built with a solid base of Christian moral values. The founding fathers in their wildest dreams would have never imagined that one day we were going to be in a raging battle to defend something as vital and basic and crucial for our survival as the family established by God. they would have never dreamed that one day we would consider the child in the womb expendable and enact immoral laws giving people the right to kill these helpless innocents. The degradation of society and the rampant immorality are destroying this country at a vertiginous rate. And now Obama is wiping his feet on a daily basis with the US Constitution. Never had this country have a godless and immoral president such as this one. The only way for this country to survive will be to go back immediately and massively to our Christian roots and values. The service members that have experienced battle are faced with the question of salvation and eternal destiny, and they should be given every right to be ministered in this regard. One thing is not agreeing with this, another thing is preventing religious freedom to be available to those who want to express their religious beliefs. This is what the atheist are bent on.
I have no problem with supporting traditional religious expressions on currency, or prayers at public events, or even displays of the creche scene on courthouse lawns, but it’s high time that Chistians (and other sects) grow up and stop trying to shove religion down everyone else’s throat.
I managed to suppress my total boredom with the mandatory religious preaching (carefully called Character Guidance) through my first few years in the Army, but was glad to see it go. It had NO business being a required “training,” and neither did the mandatory church attendance at West Point in the 60s — which I believe stopped eventually.
I spent 21 years in the Army as an open atheist, and seldom had any problems along that line, though it was tricky getting og tags that said ATHEIST instead of No Religious Preference. There is a huge, an obvious, difference. I managed to reenlist seven times by AFFIRMING, rather than swearing to any god. At events when prayers were said, I politely stood or bowed my head respectfully, as anyone would who wasn’t raised by wolves. I respect the beliefs of others, but often so-called Christians can’t seem to muster the same respect or politeness. Perhaps many of them were raised by wolves, too, and never had a mother to teach them good manners.
Please don’t hand us some nonsense about Christians being more moral or patriotic, since that’s complete BULL. I served from 1964 to 1985, three combat tours, and am mostly crippled from those fun times. And I can’t count the number of times I attended award ceremonies where a confirmed Atheist was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross, or Legion of Merit. I have a couple myself, from that list.
Christians should be embarrassed at some of the patriotic & religious B.S. spouted by some of their Christian bedfellows, much of which is just self-indulgent, narcissistic nonsense. Too often tolerance does not seem to be a common trait in churches.
And we don’t want atheism shoved down our throats either.

First off, I want to thank you for your service.
I am a follower of Christ and I would completely agree that being a Christian doesn’t automatically make you a more moral or patriotic person than anyone else. I am also a firm believer in free speech. I may not always like what people have to say, but I feel that they have a right to say it. My disagreement doesn’t mean hatred or dislike of them, just that I don’t care for the content of what they are saying.
I agree that church attendance should not be made mandatory, for anyone, ever.
I also think that priests should be able to speak of God and their beliefs openly, that people should be able to express themselves freely (even about religion), and the secularization of the country needs to stop.
Freedom of religion is wonderful because it allows (supposed to) people to not just worship in heart, house, & house of worship, but it allows people of all faiths, no faith, agnostic, & atheist, to express their beliefs and worldview throughout their life. I would hope it would be in a civil and respectful manner, but I don’t always get what I want…..I just keep trying to (even though I fail, I am not perfect) stay civil and respectful, myself.
There are extremists in every group that make us cringe. Christians, Atheists, Muslims, etc., they all have these extremists that say & do things that is not the norm, but stands out, so it seems like the norm to those that don’t know any better.
We need to remember that everything that’s happening now, especially the persecution of true Christians(those who strive to OBEY God, not simply “believe in Him”)was prophesied way before there was a Barak Hussein Obama. He’s merely a result of an ever more covetous and lawless nation. Obama can no more stop you from obeying the Creator of the Universe(military or civilian) than any “fairy”. If, as a chaplain you consider yourself a man of God first, then you need to obey God first, and depend on HIM FIRST. Jesus Himself said “A man can’t serve two masters…”(Lk 16:13). So quit your whining, and decide who you will serve: An ever more corrupt and lawless government of man, evermore under the influence of Satan, through a more than willing “instrument” of Satan, or The God of the Bible, whose soon-coming, “never ending Kingdom”(Isaiah 9:6,7)we can truly look forward to, if we simply repent, pray for guidance as we study our Bibles, and STRIVE TO OBEY(which is “true faith”[James 2:14-26])the God of the Bible. Oh My GOD! I’m sorry, Oh My Goodness. Who in their right mind wants to quibble over a word like GOD? When I talk, speak , or communicate it is to express my feeling, ideas, to convey an understanding so that another person, present or in the future, will comprehend what was spoken by me to transverse my mind, my thoughts or my ideology. Should a person become offended by my terminology or reference to GOD, then I say to that person, “To DAMN BAD! Get OVER IT!” I don’t expect you to agree with everything that I have to say or feel; but, I do expect that you respect me enough to allow me to speak my mind, say what I want to say and the way I say it, just as you would expect me to do the same for you.
I do expect those of you that hold a different view point on the notion of GOD realize that this country was founded with GOD in mind. Our forefathers acted, reacted, defended the notion of GOD so that all of us can bask in the light of Freedom of Religion. Even if your religion does not see GOD the same way as the next guy.
By mentioning GOD in our Oaths, or the beginning of legal matters, or even in our Government only shows that we as a nation voice our respect and belief in a greater good. In short it is has become tradition to speak of GOD in these areas. I say to those of you that have a hard time saying the word GOD and what it represents to “US as a Nation” I say, “suck it up and get over it.”
For those of you that have a hard time saying, “GOD” or it goes against your beliefs; go with the flow and realize that it is an American tradition. It may be a tradition you do not like so tolerate it just as you would expect me to tolerate you for not believing or saying the word GOD. When you are expected to say an oath, be it in a court of law, getting a Federal or State job; you folks know that you are compelled to repeat it. You can not be politically correct all the time. You have to make allowances for certain things and it shouldn’t be a deal breaker, after all it is tradition.
I agree that people should not put GOD before others, to create a click that discriminates those who do not believe the same thing in the same way It violates the common good that every citizen is entitled to enjoy. We as a nation tries to identify and change such shortsightedness. We can not afford a country of US”EMS and YOU”ENs; the have’s and the have not’s, the elitists and the poor, excreta, excreta, excreta.
Have we become a nation of petty, self-served people? No I don’t think so. I think that we have taken our eye off of what is important and have made mountains our of mole hills. I really don’t want to spend any more time or energy dealing with topics that are so trivial as, “IS THERE A GOD.” I have my beliefs and you have yours; lets just respect each other and move on to something more important.
Our country WAS founded on the principles of freedom – including the freedom to worship as we see fit. Taking God and His influence out of everything disables those freedoms. Forcing everyone to believe in the same way is NOT freedom.
By the way, Muslims believe in God. They just have a different way of worshipping Him. But, regardless, it is true that when we remove ourselves from God He has no choice but to let us. When that happens, we are at the mercy of the forces of evil. And God is the seat of mercy – so it’s obvious we won’t receive any of it from the forces of evil – which are legion.
Our only protection is to hold fast to the Word of the Lord and to our own beliefs and find others who share those beliefs and support each other. God bless us all!

You asked if the separation of Church and State is a good thing. I think all we need to do is to look at Islam where the church and state are one. Look at the inquisition where the church and state were one. Religion should primarily be for the believer who should have complete freedom to choose which expression of God s/he chooses and that requires that all people are given the same rights to choose which religion / denomination they wish, free of management and manipulation by an external entity.
Have you ever served in our Military where you were going on a mission and not sure if you will survive? Probably not. Those that say there should be no prayer in our military usually have had no part in it…easy for you to judge…nothing is aimed at your heart to destroy you. Those who say that prayer isn’t important to our Military do not know what they are saying.
Until you, each person denying prayer for our fighting men and women, have been put in the same situation as our military, you will be destroying our fighting men and w omen’s ability to survive…even if it’s just for one more day. Think abt what your saying…walk in their boots…then decide if you are right or wrong.

Anyone trying to remove God from anything in our culture should be removed as it’s our heritage to believe in God! They should have no power to remove Him out of anywhere at all!
Removing the Ten Commandments from the public schools, or other public buildings or institutions, did not “remove God from our culture”. God never left us, we left Him through our disobedience. As individuals, NO ONE can stop us from obeying His Laws, no matter what corrupt politician(s) is in charge, or how many corrupt lawyers from the ACLU, or any groups who want to be “free” from God’s Laws sue us. Monuments that we think “represent” God actually DO NOT. The Bible (2nd Commandment) states: “You shall not make for yourself a carved(or graven)image—any likeness of ANYTHING that is in heaven(s) above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth…(Ex. 20:4)”. The Church of Rome of course won’t choose to obey, but you can, if you so choose. If we repent, and turn from our wicked ways, God will forgive us, and heal our land(2 Chr. 7:14).

First of all i’m glad i’m as old as I am . The LORD has protected me through these many years , HE proved that when I went through the bout with death. I spent 12 days in the hospital. HE brought me all of that , and now I can’t believe they are letting Obama get away with all he is doing , I personally think they should IMPEACH HIM . But you haven’t seen anything yet . We still ‘swear on the Bible’ in our courts. What other writings would we swear upon…..the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights? Anyone who trully knows God isn’t worried because it’s impossible to ‘remove’ God from any where. I feel strongly that our govt. cannot legislate morals. What would they know about ethics or morals anyway? Good ethics and morals are taught in the family and Church. Don’t be afraid of any mere mortal removing God from our lives. If you trully have Faith, this wouldn’t even be a problem for you.
I do not comment on forums much. However this one resonates greatly with me. I echo the sentiments of most that have posted here that it is a sad day when our government continues to believe they “Know best” what our founding fathers meant when they wrote the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights. The intellectually “enlightened” supreme court justices have been redefining those documents for many years now. They have been overturning rulings that supported our governments belief in God and Biblical principles it was founded on. Those rulings have supported Biblical principles for nearly 200 years. By the way, the phrase “separation of church and state” is not accurate. The idea of separation came from a letter from Thomas Jefferson written to a Baptist association, to assure them the new government would not force a state or national religion on the people (like England did). It was to protect the people from the government, not the government from “religion”.

I am a resident of Rhode Island, founded by Roger Williams, whose lasting fame was to argue for the Separation of Church and State. His creation has been historically phrased as “Freedom of Religion”, NOT “Freedom FROM Religion”! Have we dumbed down the legal professionals so much that they cannot distinguish between prepositions?
God, Guns and Guts is what made this country what it is America the free, without either we would still be under British rule, those who don’t believe in this basic rule and want to change us to their ways need to find a new world and start over, see how starting with no core belief and just sticks to defend yourselves works for you.
As a jew, this whole of issue of potentially offending atheists, as an argument for removing the word god or Christ for that matter from our language really makes me laugh.
First off, there is nothing to be offended about. No reason at all to change anything. As a jew I feel I have a greater understanding of this than just about anyone.

Fact # 3 You never heard of a jew trying to stop the primarily christian United States from celebrating christian holidays or using christian language.

Fact # 6 Since 1946 when Israel regained it’s statehood, that state has been more productive than any other nation since the beginning of time. As an example their military is outnumbered by a factor of more than 1000 to 1 and has still one every war waged against it since 1967 & more than doubled it’s original size as a result.
Fact #7 That’s not because the jews are such great people. It is because of their belief and understanding in the role of god and his importance in their live’s regardless of which church you hail from. The jews could have had none of the world’s greatest achievements including the responsibility for the design & development of the world’s greatest weapons of mass destruction without God’s help and influence.

My government has told me that I am to accept the fact that Gays can serve in our military regardless if I find it offensive based on my Christian beliefs. Now my God is being denied to me because others may find it offensive. I spent the last 43 years defending this country on active duty and as a Department of Defense Civilian. I filed my paper to retire this year, I can no longer waste my time defending someone else’s America. Like any good Airmen, I will retire and just fade away.
My son is an Army Chaplain and I am proud of that fact. He works hard every day for the military personnel he is responsible for. In Iraq he faced situations no human being should ever have to face and overcame them with the strength God gave him. He is now facing future deployment to Afghanistan and leaving his family again to be placed in danger of his life and serve God in a foreign land once again. Praise God that my son is still able to serve his Lord in the military and pray that this will continue to be a reality. Without God our military will never win.

George Washington would be in rage if he new what this country/military has become. I have been serving in our military for 27 years and over the decades I have seen change in culture, population of immigrants, and the consistent deletion of God and Christ in schools, public government buildings, military installations, and public events. It is madness! I remember when I went to basic training and we were encouraged to attend church on the Sabbath. The one day of rest… the one day for Jesus. Currently, churches on many posts and bases I have trained at are either closed or the attendance is very low. However, right outside the main gates there are all kinds of strip clubs and night clubs. Don’t know where our leadership has gone for this nation but it needs bit more Christian values. It is so corrupt and revolving around money and the middle class is taking the hard hit for it. If and when a Christian presidential candidate would run for office he/she would get my vote. Life on earth is to short to have the riches and luxury to pass on to the next generation. Everyone must pay there way or learn to survive. Lead with Christ on point. One thing I remember from a study named “The Truth Project” was “Do you really believe, in what you believe, is really real”. Awesome study! This is so completely unbelievable that anyone would want to take the best thing we have in our lives (GOD) away from everyone. I cannot believe that anyone would want that . Has anyone noticed that the “need” for a more intrusive government has coincided with the taking of God out of society and our daily lives. School children, and grown ups, used to know that God was watching when they fell short. Without being accountable to the Creator, the substitute is cameras in the halls among other Orwellian tools. Without God, free men and women have no checking mechanism, so someone else must keep an eye on things. This isn’t something new. Probably over ten years ago, I made the observation that our freedom OF religion was slowly but surely being eroded and exchanged for freedom FROM religion. I think the process has accelerated in recent years.
As far as how an agnostic, atheist, or Muslim would respond to the video, I would hope that they would just ignore it if it didn’t speak to them, but otherwise let it be. As a Christian, I would personally have no objection to any of them expressing their beliefs, or lack thereof, in public. That is what freedom of religion and speech are supposed to be about.
I really don’t think your average non-believer, or believer in some religion outside of the Judeo-Christian tradition, is behind this. I am convinced that it is something far more sinister, that would remove all vestiges of morality and decency from our treatment of our fellow human beings, to stir up hate and distrus among ust, so we can more easily be controlled.

If we anwer those questions honestly we can see clearly that the responsability for the state of things in OUR WORLD rest in our shoulders it doesn’t matter what the people believe or do.
It doesn’t matter what you believe, if you really believe it nobody can take it out of you. They can feed you to the lyons, burn your books or whatever. Your faith will endure and arise stronger because “For those who believe, no prove is necesary. For those who does not, not prove is enough”. The main issue here is: what do I believe. Is my faith strong enough?
I do not believe religions as the problem but “churches”, meaning people that teach or follow them. There is not consensus nor an “easy to follow instructions” for commun people

As I continue to hear about the deletion of God from our country and from our leaders and military, I read my scriptures and note that these things are predicted over and over again throughout history. Each time that “God” was deleted from society, another faction forced themselves upon that society and used them as slaves etc. Are there so many now that do not reverence Diety that we are in danger of being over-run by our enemies? I will continue to worship “how, where, when and what I know is right” and I will uphold each individual’s right to do as they choose, whether to serve God or mammon. I believe the government has no right to take the rights of it’s people away to worship as they choose, as long as they are not destroying others. The entire idea that they think they have the right to discard Christmas Cards to the Veterans and those who have been injured in the line of duty if they have any religious material upon them is like telling them they have fought in vain! It is absolutely ignorance in extreme! How would Obama like it if he were told that he no longer has the right to allow Muslims into the White House? It is not his house, it belongs to the citizens of the United States of America! He is only allowed to live there because he usurped the election to disallow the military their right to have their votes counted! Facts speak louder than words!
We can have any god we want; money, ourselves, celebrities, human leaders, even stone and wooden gods. Or… by faith (the substance of things hoped for and evidence of things not seen) you can believe in one God who created everything, is just, good, moral and true…. which I think is a better alternative than any capricious, finite, corrupt, untruthful, arbitrary human being. I have never met a perfect human being I can believe in and frankly the whole concept of ‘Good’ makes no sense unless there really is ‘Good’. So I choose God. You can be your own god if you like…. and good luck with that!

Why would a Muslim be offended by the mention of the word God? In English, we say God/Father. In Hebrew, Eloi. In Arabic, Allah. All are words in their respective languages referring to the same thing. Should I be offended if I hear a Latino refer to Dios or Deus?

I was born a Catholic, didn’t believe in all of the fanfare, or faldera and left the church. Spent much of my early life looking for something that had some meaning. I found it when I came back to God. Not the church, but God. Since then I married and became a Lutherian and very happily so.
Eliminate the word God from what my country is and stands for, over my dead body… And yes, I’ve been in the service also.

You folks are way behind the ball concerning understanding what is occurring with Christians and Jews in America. The fact is you simply just don’t understand who these folks are that are focused on eliminating Christianity and why. The seperation of church and state is a tactic to simply not judge one another based on religion and to not force any way of life or personal beliefs onto others, but to allow them to simply discover divinity for themselves. The signs of love are simply everywhere and when people simply open up their minds and obtain the sacramental perspectives of life (progressive awareness) they will be enlightened continuously. The process of enlightenment, simply actualizing with the creators creations and actually caring for them is the balance of actuality. Simply care for all life forms as you would actually believe (know truthfully) the way of the art of life. Keeper/Caretakers of the Almighty Universal Temple our one and only true home (Planet Earth).
Separation of church and state is not written in the constitution. The constitution clearly states: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; of which the current and past congresses have ALL violated. America as been assimilated through congress by law under a doctrine (religious practice) which is the identical doctrine that the Apostle Paul warned of almost 2000 years ago.
Go read Acts 17 and Colossians chapter 2, there you will find a doctrine mentioned which is only mentioned in those two places in all biblical text. Its the identical doctrine which is being embossed by congress and the current administration, on the American people today. I will give you a hint it started with the oracle of Delphi giving the doctrine to Aristotle.
I am totally against each and every move to remove God from anything. We are a Christian nation and we are in trouble with these minorities that are making decisions about the majority in this nation. I am very worried about our future.

The word “God” is a Title word. It is a descriptive word for someone with supreme authority over someone else.
The word “God” is NOT a proper personal name, or the name of the Almighty Sovereign Creator Power of all things. Using the phrase
simply implies, that (some) Americans believes in a superior-supreme being. But the name of that being is not given by the use of the word “God.” Anything praised honored or worshiped can become a “God.”
We choose who we are. If you choose to live in a God centered nation then you accept the fact that God will be part of the equation. Why should we have to give up our rights just because some people don’t like what we stand for?
You don’t understand, those who are against Christian doctrine (Hebrew doctrine) are using dialectics to make their determination as to the reality of non existence of our Father. Their methodology is flawed as is there doctrine. Driving out Christianity is the same thing they have done the world over, in every country that has instituted their theocracy (Marxistm/Leninism). Christianity is not being eliminated in order to increase the freedom of other beliefs, Christianity is being eliminated so America can be assimilated under the doctrine of Hegel and his students which includes Marx & Engels. The Theocracy of Marx & Engels can not survive with any competition, therefore the Obama administration has taken to the task of completely eliminating any form of Hebrew doctrine in America.
I was proud of the Army Aircorps I was in during WWll. I married my chieldhood sweetheart two days after VE Day (Victory in Europe) in an Army Base Chapel. It lasted for 67 happy years!
