Cheap Coffee Reviewed by Expert
If you’ve ever watched the Friends TV show that ran on NBC for 10 seasons, you might have seen the episode in which Ben Stiller was the guest star.
He and Ross are trying to find their seats in a theater. Ross shows his ticket to a man who is sitting in his seat, in an effort to politely ask him to move.
But when the man starts to explain that the usher told him to sit there, Stiller gets us laughing with his over-the-top anger issues. After screaming at the man and calling him an idiot and a moron, he says sarcastically, “Oh, the usher must be right, what with all the training they go through.”
I was reminded of that humorous scene recently. I saw a 2½-minute video showing a rather self-absorbed, snooty man taste-testing a number of different brands of cheap coffee, with classical piano music in the background.
Calling himself a “coffee expert,” he immediately refers to his “years of training.”
Seriously? I didn’t know anyone actually “trained” to be a coffee expert. Especially one who judges the taste of cheap coffee. I guess I’ll have to google “Caffeine College” next time I’m online.
In the video, the “coffee expert” takes sips of different brands of cheap coffee. You know, Maxwell House, Folgers, 7-Eleven, McDonald’s, Denny’s, etc. Then he offers comments about each one.
Believe it or not, he actually compares the taste and smell of some of the brands to soggy wheat cereal, graham cracker, melons, cantaloupes and even dirty asphalt, tar, turpentine and burnt rubber.
I guess all that coffee-tasting training really paid off for him.
It’s really quite amusing and I’ve included the link here so you can check it out. You won’t learn anything about cheap coffee, but I think you’ll get a good laugh at the expense of the “expert.”
To your freedom,
Frank
P.S. If you want free survival coffee made from 100% Colombian non-GMO Arabica coffee beans grown from the tree, that actually tastes GREAT and has a shelf life of 25 years, take a look at the real deal right here. I can send you 30 servings free.
Yes that could be what he does for a living. Ask anybody who has done taster work for YUMBrands.
Well at least he gave 4 stars to the only two coffees on that list that I would drink
