Don’t Mess with Seniors
Anyone who believes that folks in their 50s and 60s are too old to make a difference hasn’t met a certain woman from Baton Rouge and a certain man from Kansas City.
Both of these Good Samaritans could have passively sat back and watched an injustice occur in front of them recently. Instead, they valiantly rushed to the aid of a victim, even though it meant confronting someone bigger and stronger than them.
Senior Helps Police Officer Fight Off Attacker
Fifty-six-year-old Vickie Williams-Tillman of Baton Rouge was shopping when she witnessed a 28-year-old man who, while being arrested for drug paraphernalia, grabbed the police officer’s baton. The man struck the officer with the baton, then tried to remove the officer’s gun from his holster.
Vickie quickly called 911 to report the incident, but was concerned the officer might be injured before help arrived. Disregarding her own safety, she ran up to the perpetrator and jumped on his back. She slowed the assault long enough for another officer to arrive and subdue the attacker.
Man Uses Cane to Rescue Bus Driver from Attacker
Meanwhile in Kansas City, a man harassing a bus driver grabbed the driver around the neck from behind. Nobody else wanted to get involved, but a senior citizen wasn’t about to let that stop him from trying to help the victim.
The senior left his seat and used the only weapon at his disposal – his cane – to repeatedly whack the offender. The attacker left the bus, but the unidentified senior citizen gave him a verbal challenge.
“Come on,” he said. “I got something else for you. Come on. Get over here.”
The attacker thought better of tangling again with the surprisingly combative senior and stayed off the bus. A few minutes later, the man was arrested by police.
Once they learned the senior citizen had broken his cane while protecting the bus driver, city officials said they would give him a new one as soon as they located him. Maybe they should add a medal to that presentation.
Vickie was honored during a press conference by the Baton Rouge mayor, who hailed her as a “hero” and said that she “epitomizes the true Good Samaritan.”
Seniors don’t often receive the respect they deserve. That’s why it warms my heart to see stories like these, where a senior displays the kind of bravery that many younger and stronger people fail to exhibit.
Jumping into a physical confrontation might not always be the wisest thing for a senior citizen to do, especially if the attacker is holding a weapon. But sometimes we act on our instincts and the results can be life-changing.
Now let’s see whether the American Civil Liberties Union – which usually displays more sympathy for criminals than for victims – jumps in to sue these seniors for physically confronting the attackers.
Please also note that the ACLU is being funded by none other than G. Soros………Radicals providing funding to a powerful law organization with a director tied to Hamas leading the way.

FAIZ SHAKIR
During his college years, Faiz Shakir was a member of the Harvard Islamic Society (HIS), which is affiliated with the Muslim Students Association of the United States and Canada. In 2000, HIS held an Islamic Awareness Week and Faiz Shakir served as the co-chair for the week’s events. One of those events included a fundraiser for the Holy Land Foundation, a group which acted as the fundraising arm for Hamas in the United States.
Shakir went on to become the Editor-in-Chief at Think Progress (from 2005-2012), and Vice President at the Center for American Progress. In May 2012, he was appointed as a senior advisor and media director to Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic Minority Leader of the House of Representatives.
Shakir co-authored the “Fear Inc.” report, which implicitly claimed that Islamophobia was the product of a Jewish conspiracy, and wrote positively about the Tunisian Islamist Al-Nahda Party and its genocidal head, Sheikh Rashid Ghannouchi, who has engaged in blatant anti-Semitism, and has said, “There are no civilians in Israel. The population—males, females and children—are the army reserve soldiers, and thus can be killed.”
During his time at Think Progress, Shakir repeatedly attacked the Jewish State, endorsing the Hamas aid flotilla to Gaza and attacking Israel’s attempts to defend itself against terrorists.
Under Shakir, Think Progress promoted Muslim Brotherhood-linked Islamists, much as he tried to direct funds to Hamas during his Harvard days.

WASHINGTON — The American Civil Liberties Union wants to take over your town. On Saturday, the organization is launching a nationwide campaign to push local governments to become “Freedom Cities” by adopting a series of policies to make them safe havens for immigrants and refugees amid what the group has dubbed President Trump’s “mass deportation agenda.”
Trump’s administration is currently asking for cooperation from local law enforcement for the president’s crackdown on illegal immigration and on immigration from certain predominantly Muslim countries. The ACLU’s new strategy is designed to pressure city officials to reject that request. According to an ACLU strategy memo, the group is pushing local authorities to force the federal agencies focused on immigration enforcement to jump through a set of legal hoops that will “impede objectionable policies the president is pursuing.”
These proposed requirements include making U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection officials obtain a judicial warrant before asking local officials to detain anyone, blocking those officials from accessing people in local custody for “interviews or other investigative purposes,” preventing federal agents from asking local officials about someone’s immigration status, and blocking surveillance or interrogations based on profiling. While the Trump administration has suggested local officials who do not cooperate with federal immigration enforcement may be breaking the law, the ACLU memo argues the specific Freedom Cities policies are “on firm legal ground.”
And along with the lobbying and legal work that is typically the ACLU’s bread and butter, the organization is trying something new as it pushes the Freedom Cities agenda. The ACLU is providing supporters with a blueprint for activism to apply pressure on local authorities to adopt the plan. It’s a clear departure for the organization. For nearly a century, the ACLU has been nonpartisan and focused on legal battles. The organization’s foray into grassroots organizing and activism is the brainchild of Faiz Shakir, a 37-year-old former Senate aide who was hired in January as the group’s national political director.
“People have known us for, ‘See you in court,’” Shakir said in the Freedom Cities memo. “I hope now they’ll also know us for, ‘See you in the streets.’”
The ACLU’s Freedom Cities campaign will begin with a “Resistance Training” live-streamed from Miami, Fla., on Saturday afternoon. Supporters will be given materials instructing them on how to get meetings with local officials who are “key pressure points.” The ACLU is also advising activists on specific arguments to make in order to pressure them to adopt the policies. These initial meetings are just the beginning. The ACLU has also launched a website, People Power, which will feature maps highlighting future Freedom Cities meetings and other events. In addition to keeping people involved in the immigration policy effort, Shakir said the site will allow supporters to suggest ideas for future efforts.
In an extensive conversation with Yahoo News, Shakir described the genesis of his strategy to make the ACLU into “the leader of the resistance” against Trump.
What I see from the blog above is that people can and do make a difference when they apply themselves for the betterment and good for all. All it takes is someone to say that they are “NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!” and take action.
It doesn’t matter if it is a cop in trouble or the one causing trouble; it is the citizenry that has the responsibility to step it up and take charge. It is the Government that is to follow our lead and ensure that our wishes and demands are met and kept.
Helping your fellow human being is our call in life. To share in the bounty of the joys as well as comfort for the ills in life. Bravery, is when you decide to act for someone else in need of help. So what will you do? Stand by the sidelines of life or get in and help by doing what you can to help. The decision is yours to make – choose wisely.

The ACLU has always been an over the top left wing organization always supporting the criminal element. To many folks have been brainwashed by the lefts legal system, not to get involved. The good people who help are true patriots. God bless America.

We can’t ignore people who are being hurt by others. We have to get involved. It’s so sad that so often people are afraid to do help. That is wrong.

I highly suggest that you take the time and start by reading the mission manifesto that is clearly stated in the opening pages of the Charter of it’s founding. The ACLU is a communistic foundation that has sworn to destroy your American values by using your own freedoms against us to divide and bring socialism to the forefront as a governing power…..It’s written in plain English right there in the opening pages !!! Does “One World Order” sound familiar? Why do you think our Courts are so OUT OF CONTROL??? Don’t take my word for any of this though! Research it yourself….READ what THEY say there,…..and get back to me and tell me what you’ve learned…
