Hope and Change…let’s HOPE he’s impeached so we can have a CHANGE
I hear conservatives and independents complain about President Obama all the time. And I hear liberals defend him often. That’s why I was happy that it was a bipartisan national poll that showed Obama is the worst president since World War II. I’m not sure why they stopped at World War II, but whatever.
Obama wanted to be president in the worst way. And he has. One-third of the people who voted in the survey conducted by Quinnipiac University selected Obama as the worst president since the Second World War. Twenty-eight percent selected George W. Bush. Richard Nixon was next with 13 percent and Jimmy Carter was fourth with 8 percent.
More survey takers (45 percent) said that our country would be better off if Mitt Romney had won the 2012 election than those who said it would be worse off. Ya think? I’m pretty sure the country would be better off if Donald Duck had won the 2008 and 2012 elections. By a 54 to 44 percent margin, voters said that the Obama Administration is not competent in running the government. Again, duh!
Syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer said the survey shows that Obama “gave people hope, but he doesn’t know how to govern.”
Who was voted the best president since World War II? Ronald Reagan with 35 percent. He was followed by Bill Clinton at 18 percent, John F. Kennedy at 15 percent and Obama at 8 percent. I wonder what that 8 percent was smoking.

It boggles the mind that the man was elected twice, …actually that he was elected the first time at all! I believe that if his administration had not cheated and if he had not had the Soros money behind him, he would not have been elected. The American people were sold a bill of goods.
Though I’m not sure that there were any presidents that were guiltless, I think I might base my choice on the ones that showed the most patriotism and the courage to speak of it. Without a doubt, I believe Obama is the worst we’ve ever had to endure. Not because he is more dishonest or more untruthful, (although i believe he is) but because he is openly blatant about his deceit and untruths, his unremitting and dedicated passion to subjugate the United States and her people and his unswerving passion to make the U. S a Muslim nation.

I strongly agree with Cliff. If we don’t start changing the House and Senate we will continue down the same road. Our president has to have a House and Senate to work with him/her not against him/her to make change for the good of our country.

This is my first viewing of this commentary and I am pleased to see viewpoints expressed without the usual concern about political correctness. I have pondered as to how we can get those who are sitting back not commenting or supporting our Constitution, our Military or our being a God loving country. I believe contributors to this forum would be well served by expanding their comments on a regular basis to the very biased media. I am 82 years and concerned that those of us in this category are not standing up protecting our country values in this very dangerous period of time .We need this silent majority to take a stand and be heard. I urge all to be heard beyond this forum. step out and encourage those who are silent to write, to speak and be heard by those in government who have not heeded the rising swell of resentment of politics as usual. Yes, I am white. I have been very fortunate in my life and I do not owe anyone an apology for hard work and perseverance. Let’s get back to the values which made this country exceptional.
God…. I hope this message resonates with the readers. It is not submitted in malice. It is my concern this country is going down the drain under the present political governance scheme.I also believe the reason Mr. Trump is being currently successful is that he is speaking out to the concerns held by those of us who care .Some of his ideas maybe off the wall but he is saying what a lot of Americans believe but are too concerned about political correctness. Furthermore, he couldn’t be any worse than “O” or any of the so called Republican leadership in Congress.

(1) Lincoln was the worst for getting perhaps a million soldiers (North and South) killed in the very un-Civil War and for destroying the South. He also threw his political enemies in jail, in spite of their Constitutional Rights.
(2) FDR was terrible for recognizing Stalin’s Soviet Union and getting us into WWII by hook and by crook.
(3) Truman was awful for allowing the US to drop atomic bombs on an already defeated Japan.

it should be abundantly clear, from the fact that the country is still here and as recently as a decade ago it was still a pretty damned fine country, that 0bama is the worst president in the history of the US. while I wasn’t around for most of the previous president’s, the evidence shows that 0bama is without a doubt THE worst in history.
As to why the present embarrassment was voted in – I moved from CT to NC 15 years ago. I was visiting CT in 2008 & questioned old friends about why Republicans & Democrats we had known were voting for Obama. I was told that at a party, people were saying that we should give the guy the presidency to shut up the blacks who always complain. They said, “Nothing to worry about, he’ll be assassinated like JFK was in 2 years. ” I was wide eyed & scared when I heard that people would vote thinking like that. It obviously didn’t work out the way they thought it would. He & the mouth & her mother have been in the White House ever since. I can only hope (please God) that Hillary & Bill don’t come back to steal more silverware. The worst has been Obama & Carter, the best Ronald Reagan.

We did not declare war on the country of Afghanistan, we were after those responsible for 911 (Muslim terrorist), where the majority of them, and their leaders, happened to be located in Afghanistan.
911 wasn’t George W’s fault. The attack on 911 was Osama’s best planned attack to date that included many previous attacks in the years preceding 911, a couple that happened without retaliation or punishment during Clinton’s time in the White House, it would have happened no matter who was in the White House.

Gerald Ford was handed the fallout and damage associated with the Richard Nixon Presidency and Watergate, as well as the tail end of the Vietnam War. Our country was in a rough place and Gerald Ford provided the leadership to stabilize our country in a way that was one of duty and love for our country, not for personal, nor political gain.
Gerald Ford took one for the team and he should be remembered with an honor and dignity that is infinitely superior to the pitifully undignified excuse for the person occupying the White House today.

I have to say that each president have /had their bad points but RR was the best of the group and BO wins hands down for being the worst ever, ever, ever. He couldn’t find his way out of a paper bag. Why would anyone have voted for him still amazes me. If you were hiring someone to run your business, do your taxes, take care of your children, build your home,or run your state or country would you hire someone that had never held any job whatsoever except being a community organizer?? ABSOLUTELY the worst person in the office of President is Barry Soetoro. He is in the position of President, but apparently has no idea what is in the original Constitution of the United States of America. Either that, or he ignores it. I believe he is affecting the “change” he wanted, but neglected to explain what that “change” would be to those who voted for him. There is no question that Obama is worst president ever, I wouldn’t stop at WWII. Ronald Reagan was the best president. If we would have had a RR in office over the last 6 years ISIS wouldn’t exist, our relations with Israel would be in good standing, our economy would be moving along like a well oiled machine
and our national debt would be reasonable at worst case. Jimmy Carter would be the 2nd worst, Richard Nixon the 3rd and I would list Georg W and B Clinton tied for 4th. Obama as worst ever. He lies to get his agenda pthrough us “stu[id” “gruberized Americans. I would put Carter as second worst: High inflation and imterest rates, poor economy. I would put Clinton as 3rd worst. He raised taxes on corporations to what is now the highest in the world — and we had an industrial exodus to China, etc.. Starting in 2000 the market starting slumping. Then it really dropped on 9/11.
As far as the best I would have to select Reagan. He lowered taxes and doubled the tax revenues. And did it with a democrat congress! Next I would pick Kennedy. He started the country on the space program. The technology that was developed in that effort has given almost all of us computers, smart phones, and all kinds of neat stuff. A real stimulus to the e4conomy and as well as something for us all to use. George W. Bush would be my next pick. He brought the country back from Clinton’s failing economy. Unemployment below 5%, etc. The market dropped about six months after democrats took the house and senate. They did their best to make Bush look bad.
As an aside, I would put LBJ as one of the worst. Granted, he started the “war on poverty” which was a noble thing to do. But, he did it all wrong. The Chinese have a saying that “if you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish and he can feed himself and his family for a lifetime!” LBJ threw money at the problem (provided daily fish!) — got a lot of votes for the big spending democrats but so far has cost the taxpayers some $22 trillion so far! And we still have plenty of poverty! Just think of what our economy would be like today if all the “poor” were self-sufficient! Just thinking about it boggles my weak little mind!

Unfortunately, voting is an illusion. We don’t vote to elect a president. The electoral college votes for the president. Whoever gives the most money is whose candidate gets the votes. Somehow we must get rid of the electoral college and the two party system. Don’t be fooled: there is no lesser of two evils – they’re both the same evil with different names. This is no longer a democracy, but a plutocracy. All you have to do is open your eyes and become educated to see what’s really going on.

Carter and Truman didn’t come out of the White House as millionaries. Eisenhower oversaw a booming U.S. economy, and stopped the Korean War by telling the Chinese we had the Big One and weren’t afraid to use it. JFK backed the Russians down, but he was a womanizer and on some heavy drugs for his Addisons Disease. LBJ did a lot for civil rights, but pushed us into socialism and lied to get us into a bloodbath in Vietnam. Nixon was actually pretty liberal, but he didn’t trust anybody and lied about Watergate. Ford was a pretty good guy, but he couldn’t stop inflation. Carter was honest but nieve and couldn’t stop inflation, and was miserable in foreign policy. Reagan got things rolling again, rebuilt the military, got the Russians to spend themselves out of business, but he still lied about the Iran-Contra Affair and let Ollie North get thrown under the bus. Bush 1 did okay. Clinton got the economy going, but would lie when the truth was better. Bush 2 kept his cool during the terrorist crisis, but he let Wall Street run wild, and got us into a war we should have stayed out of. Obama is a socialist, a liar, and couldn’t run a hot dog stand in Yankee Stadium. So, all in all we’ve had the usual mixed bag of liars and crooks.
Let’s be clear about LBJ. More racist than Obama and Holder put together. His policies destroyed the black American family and it continues to this day. It was the Democratic party’s plan to keep black Americans dependent on the government teet and it is still working today and will continue until public entitlement is done away with. This county is in need of a leader and that person needs to be vetted properly. Not a woman, not white man or black or asian person. Not a muslim or Jew or Christian. Our country needs a person who understands the Constitution and separation of powers and that our states are part of a republic and each can opporate independent of one another. If people are found guilty of treason they should be publicly executed, and that means those that hold public office, too.
Obama is surely the worst president I can remember in my lifetime of voting in elections. I really believe that some of his mistakes and bad decisions have came about from just bad advice from the idiots who are his advisers. I’m not defending him in any way except to say that his is good speaker. Problem is you can’t run a country on words alone.
I will vote for Reagan as the best and Obama as the worst president. I agree with Orrin that any candidate not from either of the two main parties cannot win, and voting for such a candidate usually only helps the Democrats. Currently, I see a rift in the Republican party between the establishment leaders, who tend to prefer more liberal candidates, and the Tea Party types, whom I see as the grassroots, who want to return to a smaller government, as defined by our Constitution.
We tried moderates with McCain and Romney. That didn’t work. This time we need a true, honest conservative with some common sense and a commitment to do the will of the people he/she is supposed to represent. I only hope that the 2016 nominee is someone truly chosen by “we the people,” and not by those with money and influence. Meanwhile, I am hoping for some good House and Senate victories in the election on this Tuesday.

Carter wasn’t that bad. Clinton was a psychopath, but not quite as bad as o-bum-f**k. (The image of Clinton that sticks with me is him coming from a funeral for a hero, or some such national disaster, walking with his buddies, having a grand time, but when he sees the cameras, suddenly he’s all tears. What a two-faced SOB.)
My vote for absolute worst has to be Lincoln, for starting a war against those he claimed were his own citizens, eliminating Constitutional rights, and then, in the name of freeing the slaves, condemned them to a far worse slavery, which continues to this day.

What worries me now is, who will the Republican offer up. Whomever he or she will be, they will have to find a way appeal to “moderates” (if such a thing exists) on both sides. Plus, they MUST attract thoughtful minority voters, Independents, Libertarians and the quietly growing, yet poorly organized “Tea Party” types.
Another worry is, if there are any 3rd, 4th or 5th part y outlier candidates! History tell us they don’t have a chance in hell of being elected. They might well be fair and honest candidates, but the reality is they can historically only pull 3% to 8% of votes that traditionally would have been cast for a Republican candidate. We’ve seen this happen many times over the years, but those people who vote for them do so more with their emotions, anger or Utopian fantasies than thoughtful commonsense and awareness of the issues.

There really are “death panels” in there that affect the care of 72 year olds & up. I’m no party-politics guy, but if the Republicans take the Senate back next month, I say let them and the Republican-controlled House pass bill after bill after bill that they know Obama will veto just to drive the point home as to who the real “obstructionist” is.
I would vote for Reagan but like the above comment, none were really stand out presidents, but I do think Reagan would be at the top of the heap at least.
With that said, I do not think the attempt to impeach Obama is a good idea. Look at the political landscape when that was tried with Clinton. It actually made the democrats polling numbers shoot up. Best IMHO to just let them keep “stepping in it” till 2016. They have more time to dig a bigger hole they cant climb out of.

Each President has his good points and has his bad points. You would also have to take in consideration the people the President has working for him and those in the Congress and Senate that either helped or hinder the goals the president wanted to achieve.
It is time for a change. The change must be to vote for the qualified person for office not the lesser of two evils. The change must be made I the House of Representatives as well as in the Senate. You change the oil in your car and you change your underwear don’t you? Well, we need to change our representatives too. We voted for these people to govern. From what I have seen and heard of late these representatives have only thought of themselves first and foremost. They have lined their pockets with benefits and perks long enough. They think that money grows on tree. They know that the Government can always print more. Accountability and responsibilities to the people that they represent is none existent. They are large and in charge and they are willing to hide from you, the people.
The President is suppose to lead the Nation into prosperity, for all. But as it stands now, he is lucky if he can lead his people to the nearest bathroom without a critic or an incident occurring. The President is to uphold the Constitution and all that it stands for; not throw the Constitution under the bus then out the window.
