Obamacare needs to double check those figures.
Starving for positive publicity for a healthcare program that became a train wreck moments after it left (or at least tried to leave) the depot, ObamaCare is being praised by the Obama Administration. What possible good could be said about this fiasco? Well, the Obama Administration is claiming that 6 million people have healthcare insurance because of ObamaCare.
The lies will never stop from this administration, will they? Even liberal-leaning CNN couldn’t sit back and let that ridiculous statement go by without a challenge. In an article titled, “The Truth Behind ObamaCare 6 Million Figure,” CNN criticized the administration for sending a message that at its very best is “misleading.”
In reality, only 2.1 million Americans had signed up for private health insurance through state and federal exchanges through December 2013. So where did the 6 million figure come from? The administration decided to add 3.9 million to the 2.1 million figure based on the fact that 3.9 million people learned that they are eligible for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program late last year.
For those interested in the truth rather than the phony-baloney ObamaCare PR efforts, that 3.9 million number includes people who were already on Medicaid and are just renewing.
And for those of us who really want to get real about this, let’s not forget that millions of people have lost their healthcare coverage specifically because of ObamaCare. I think it’s safe to say that at least some of the new Medicaid folks are among the millions who lost their insurance because of ObamaCare and were forced to re-enroll in Medicaid through ObamaCare.
I realize that we should be used to the endless lies and deception from this administration, but I think it’s a good thing that it still bothers us. It proves we aren’t going to be sucked into Obama’s propaganda trap as his many liberal worshippers have been.
How has your health insurance situation changed – or perhaps remained the same – since ObamaCare became the law of the land? Are you paying more than you used to? Did you lose your healthcare insurance because of ObamaCare, or did you gain insurance that you didn’t have before? The only entity making a killing on this is the insurance industry (which as we all know is in bed with politicians). Amazing Obummer and his administration hadhad no foresight and/or turned a blind eye to facts of increased premiums, higher deductibes, and less coverage. I knew this would happen before implementation of this train wreck, but according to politicians the average American lacks intelligence. So sad what politicians have become.

Both of my daughter got “affordable healthcare” I won’t call it the O name because I don’t want to give him any credit. They make under 11,000.00 a year which is poverty level in my State. They can’t get in to see a doctor for a month ,even if they are sick. They can only see the Doctors on the list.The Dr. spend 5 minutes with the patient and run out not even taking the time to find out what is wrong. Thank God they are healthy!
My ins premium tripled! From $330/mo to $950 and the deductible is so high it is useless. We are merely donating to the pot. A method to increase taxes. A method to control us. There are still as many without ins as were before this farce began. You all must know it’s the boiling frog concept and HE just turned the heat up.

I didn’t think Obamacare was going to effect our insurance through my husband’s work because we didn’t have to use OBAMACARE, WRONG! Every year our health insurance has gone up and we would lose some part of the insurance benefits we use to have. I didn’t think our insurance was very good anymore. I was wrong, our lousy health insurance was going to be considered a Cadillac insurance, therefore our insurance benefit paid by an employer, not the government, was going to be taxed (thank you, CJ Roberts) an additional 40% Cadillac tax! A heavy tax because your employer wants to provide you better health benefits. Absolutely outrageous!!! So, what they had to do was to make it as lousy as Obamacare with a $3000 deductible! The worst part is that, our prescriptions now must meet the $3000 deductible too. In the past , my one meds cost $5 for a generic, now it is $267 for the same meds until I reach $3000. Thank you OBAMA!!!!

I feel bad for everyone who has been hit hard with the changes to our healthcare system. But please keep in mind, the goal of Obama and those who put the parts of this system into play even before he was elected is not to help us. Their goal is not to make it more affordable or easier to access. Their goal is not to improve our system. Their goal IS to destroy our system and kill off Americans. This seems absurd to you and I, but wake up! That’s their agenda. Find a doctor outside of the US before it’s too late. Put the pieces together and figure it out.
I barely make my monthly payment. Sometimes late. Because the rates are so extreme. It sometimes, takes 2-3 weeks to get an prior authorization. For a prescription. My doctor has been fighting for over a year. For a back specialist. I have 6 different types of problems with my back. At 46 yrs old. If I’m not helped soon. I’ll be in bad shape. All these problems started occuring. Soon as Obamacare showed it’s ugly face.
Due to the 7 billion stolen from medicare to pay for government care, two of my meds are no longer covered so pay full price, so won’t be replacing my 5 year old sneakers.
We have a small business. Because our excellent health insurance did not meet Obama Care standards, we lost our insurance that had a reasonable deductible and had to choose a poorer plan that cost more and has a $6,000 deductible before it pays for ANYTHING. Obama, the Illuminati and the rest of them are succeeding in their plan to take down our country. It already has happened, we just haven’t woken up to that fact.
I have never had insurance and thanks to the Lord have not needed it. I opted out this year and was able to have the penalty waved but I don’t know what will happen next year. I sure can’t afford to pay for insurance I won’t use.

Quit being a bunch of selfish a-holes! Just because you have for the most part either good health or great health, you think America should revolve around only you! What about all of the people who have pre-existing conditions(especially ones that are chronic and was no fault of their own) and repeatedly were denied health coverage and suffered either by paying FULL “retail” charges or just went without healthcare period and literally suffered and/or died. This was also meant to help them so they could now get insurance without being given “the finger!” and told “…too bad!” You’d be singing a different tune if you were on the receiving end of a chronic debilitating illness/disease.

He was on the STATE exchange; where we live. It’s been a lifelong issue and just one of his seven meds costs $635.00 a WEEK.
Fully paid previously; now forced into Medicare: ZERO (Not a penny) is now paid where it was before this lie was imposed on our nation.

I am on the receiving end of a chronic debilitating illness. When you have Obama care you can’t get into a doctor, prescriptions aren’t covered until your $6,000.00 deductible is paid and they won’t authorize my needed surgeries. All Obama care does is line the pockets of the politicians.
Granted, before Obama care our insurance system needed fixing pre-existing conditions, keeping your adult kids on your policy longer. But those are the only two things that it helped and I believe that was an accident. Obama care was designed to hurt, not help.
Costwise, I have broken out even with Obamacare compared with what I had before. However, I do have a pre-existing medical condition which is more likely to be paid for under O/B care, as in the past, I have been twice denied re-payment by private insurers for quite expensive hospital treatment that I have received.

The fact is, it’s up to us to take good care of our own bodies. The media, congress, pharmaceutical companies and healthcare industry are never gonna tell the whole truth….ever. And how does complaining about our govt. help when people were too lazy to set aside a little time to vote in the mid-term elections? Saying: “My vote doesn’t matter.” has been an excuse I’ve been hearing ever since I turned 18 yrs and started voting. It’s because of all this whining and complaining doesn’t get you anywhere but frustrated. We ALL need to get out there and become more of a part of this hostile govt.. The military build up, non-transparency and corruption will eventually have to be forcefully removed if we don’t do something about it. If we try to take our country back, we will give our govt. even more of a reason to invoke FM 39-40. And don’t think our military won’t fire upon it’s own people because they have in the past and will if we try to forcefully take back our own govt.. Who here has the courage to stop paying your taxes? They don’t even work for us anymore and believe our tax dollars belong to them. Linda, Obama lies! As this article says, it is NOT 6 million, only 2.1 million. But, let’s just say it is 6 million, good many of them are people who had insurance before. He did not add 6 million new people. We have 314 – 330 MILLION PEOPLE, including illegals, 6 million that Obama brags about is virtual nothing compared to how many people have lost their insurance, lost their doctors and hospitals. That is less than 1% of the nation. We have destroy what we had so that , 2.1 million people can have health insurance of which, we the tax payers, pay 80% of their benefits. There was a much better way to have done this. All and only Democrats should have at least read the 2,200 page bill before they shoved it down our throats! As State retiree’s, our Really Great insurance coverage, that we worked 25 years for, was hiked 150% right after the stroke of his pen when he originally signed this Exc order as law. “In preparation for when Obamacare took effect” is what they told us! There was No pension check left after this increase! They ate it completely up!!! Thinking that we were “Good to go” in keeping our coverage and Dr, we quickly found that we were just 1 household of millions who received those Cancellation letters, not once but Twice my coverage was cancelled this year! Higher premiums, co-pays, deductable’s and out of pocket expenses with less coverage, except for procedures that we no longer need, (That I had to pay out of pocket for in years past)! Now after attending a meeting last week, the State is crying broke, no State funding and needs $40 million to continue our coverage. The questions thrown at us were “Where do You want the cuts on your coverage to come from?” They are making the policy holders choose what will be cut to cough up the $40 million needed for years 2016 & 17 to keep from increasing premiums. I’ll believe the No Increases when those years come around and I actually see it happen. Until then, I’m not believing it!!! I’m just Grateful that we have other resources to live off of and not dependent totally on the pension checks!
Cost of health insurance here for family of 3 is same, actually a tad bit higher. Deductable is higher and speaking with docs they get less of my $$ in their pocket. Network of Docs is smaller. It’s America, I’m used to this fiasco.

gov math is nothing new — look at our CPI compared to Congress CPI – from 1992 to 1998 wife and I had 2 kids in college full time — I was still full time employed wife was part time employed and we were both in college also — BUT — we were ” NOT “” counted as employed by gov for all 6 years
I guess you could say I got covered [with insurance] this year because of ObamaCare. I turned 65. At least that could [ and no doubt will ] be said if you’re the worst PRESIDENT in America’s history.
In 2007 I made the terrible decision to look at another insurance offer. It would save me a little, but two months later they dropped me for no explanation. Now with Obotchedcare I can not afford any, It is a choice of having a house to live in and food in my stomach or health insurance that I may never use. Affordable what a joke. I’m 61 hoping to get to use Medicare in a few more years. Thank God I live in a state that said up yours to the whitehouse.

Health insurance premiums at the very large employer I work for increased 21% in 2014 after implementation of Obamacare. In the previous 10 years, increases had averaged 7%, which was less than the national average.
Don’t be so hard on Obama – the 6 million figure comes from all the original failed attempts of people trying to sign up for his ridiculous health care system, which is one more of his stupid ideas to make the dollar have less value and to bring this country crumbling down, but then again, that’s his intent, isn’t it?
I thank God that my work pays for my imsurance. But the unaffordable health care plan really missed with my insurance. I had to meet my deductable before it would start paying any of my hospital bills. I have alot of bills due to 5 times to ER, and 2 operations. Thank you Obama, for nothing.
My insurance went up from $1312.00 a month to $1444.00 per month because of Obamacare
I previously had Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, my co-pay at the Dr. was $30, my yearly deductible was $300.00!
Now I have the Obama Care version of the BC BS insurance, my monthly payment dropped from $503 to $476, but my co-pay went to $35 at the Dr. and my yearly deductible went to $2400.00 and several things that were previously covered are no longer covered!

My health insurance is increasing from $460 a month to $1400 a month on Jan 1, 2015 when Obummercare coverages have to be added. And that is with a $7500 deductible. Thanks Affordable(?) Care Act
