have some really wonderful ideas but, someone like myself has no money to even buy food for the week for myself. are there any cheaper ways to
feed and protect myself.

I can see this as one of the courses that Patriotic people might take. I have even thought of this idea myself but not to this extreme. I mean, why walls and towers? What are they afraid of. Want to keep people out or people in. I was thinking on the lines of about the same amount of land but not so many people. 7000 families on 3000 acres means 4.3 acres per family. That’s ok for an individual family separate from everyone else and I guess maybe that is what they are after. Each family doing for themselves. Solar, well, gardening, even some livestock, chickens, a cow and a couple of beef cattle or pigs. That is really pushing it for 4 acres. Then you need room for a 3 or 4 bedroom home, a barn to store hay for the winter and shelter for the livestock and where are you going to get the hay? After you put all of this on 4 acres you have no more room.
I mean the scenario is good but I don’t think they have thought it all out.

Frank, I agree with you on most things but you are wrong about GM Food. Genetic modification has been going on for billions of years. It is called evolution. All genes have been modified hundreds of times. That is how we got here. GM foods are cheaper to produce and do not require the toxic pesticides that most foods do so they are safer to produce and to eat. You are absolutely right Anita O. It’s like liberals have been deceived by some demonic force. They insist on abortion rights. What happened to the days that the parents and their doctor made that decision, except in cases of rape or incest. They say that the woman has a right to say what goes on in her body. How foolish! What about the baby? Where are their rights to live? Many women would rather have their baby murdered than to give birth and allow it to be adopted to a couple who can’t have children. We already raise a lot of food and I am going to start making my own pasta and currently make a lot of our bread. I have bought some things from you and wish I could buy more but right now am unable to. We had a garden last year and I canned nearly 300 pints of food so I know we could make it for a bit. I would love to see everyone in whitehouse, congressmen/women, senators and all of the others is Government have to pay their own bills. Give them a wage close to any CEO of a company. But they have to pay all of their own bills and live under the same laws as the rest of the US citizens. Frank, I am going to try my best to keep this short. I thank you for the privilege. I am 65 years young on disability female. I am a miserable person, not so much that I can not do for myself but I spent the first 60 years of my life helping others. I can no longer do that.-I have purchased as much from you as I can afford. I thought my family would get on this wagon with me but NOT. I am concerned about protecting what I have. I do not want to pick up and go anywhere. I also would like to see more on gardening issues and seed saving. People are going to have to figure out HOW to grow their food and sadly most today would not have a clue. I also have enough to can, freeze and make many varieties of soup that will also feed me all winter. Find a local farmer that can supply you with pastured meats, dairy and eggs or raise your own.
Why this subject is not a required school thing for our children, I will never know. Instead, in my grand-daughters (13) own words, they are taught, in the case of disaster, to go to the nearest Fema Camp. WTF are they teaching our children? God help this Godless nation

I’d like to see an article about what to do when Homeland Security or NSA show up at our door and ask for our guns. In 1983, I worked for “The” Westinghouse Corporation just outside of Carlsbad, New Mexico. This was a place approximately 1/2 mile underground where they stored spent nuclear rods. I am a displaced homemaker/ widow, now a student. I support my family of 4 on my widow benefits while going to school. I seems to me that the government is opposed to people in my situation. All they want is to try to make the poor more poor and yet will not allow us help in any way. We do not even get tax breaks (there is always a loop hole). Yet they always want more from us, and we don’t have it to give them. And they say that’s all right borrow it. I would like to know what companies you would recommend for prepared survival food kits. I have been talking with Wise company and have a sample they sent me which I will try. All of them are expensive and I’m not sure about the quality of the products they use. I would like to purchase a month supply of food for myself and for our kids as a ,stop gap, if something like an earthquake, etc. would disrupt services for a short period of time.

I would recommend to your readers that they read the first two books of an seven series books called, “The Change” by S. M. Sterling. It is sci-fi, but it has what appears to be an accurate depiction of what would happen if the world was hit by an EMP that destroyed all electronics, gunpowder and the ability to make steam.

Secondly, I would recommend, Tactical Taylor, 2916 107th South, Lakewood, Washington, 98499, 866-984-7854, (near Ft. Lewis) as a source of military and tactical police web gear/ holsters, mag carriers, load bearing gear, and general carrying equipment such as backpacks. They will custom make anything you want and if you go there you will see a lot of special ops and police officers ordering gear. They don’t sell any weapons other than knives and I don’t have a business interest in the company. It was started by an ex-Army vet, who was making custom gear for fellow soldiers while he was on active duty. He was killed several years ago in an auto accident, but his brother and family have carried on with the business.

I live in the wooded north, in an area that has 100 or more inches of snow per year. I have been heating with wood for 25 years, but do need minimal electricty to run my well pump. I used. to have a backup electrical heating system so my house would not freeze if I needed to be away from home for an exended period. This furnace failed last winter and I had many of my pipes freeze and break.

I need a new backup heating system. Do you know of a source of of propane furnances that can be tied into my duct system of my wood furnace. I will purchase my own propane tank and will only use only on occasion.

I am not sure solar will work since I am surrounded by tall trees and do not have the time and or money for a wind generator system. I do have this as a 5 year goal.

I need a referral/or recommendation for an efficient propane heater.

What iritates me the most is the “criminal” actions of the FDA, AMA, CDC and USDA for refusing to do what their charter indicates as in actually protecting and controlling food quality instead they are deeply in the pockets of big pharma, big agra business and big oil. The one thing weighing heaviest on my mind is, of course, money. I have spent many years saving (money that I wanted to use elsewhere), for my retirement, in 401-Ks and IRAs. Deep down I knew this was risky because our government lowlifes want nothing more than to latch on to our savings. I wonder what is the VERY best way to overcome this threat of Government theft!?! With the American economy slipping downhill at a constant rate, and the dollar being abused and degraded all the time, what is the best method to fight this threat? If I take out ALL my savings and hoard it somewhere, I fear it will be nothing more than worthless paper in months or even weeks to come. The economy continues to slide further in the hole but it appears the rate is increasing. My feeling is that I started to prepare to late. Power is going to be a major concern for me. We currently live in a townhome so options to make corrections are limited. We are currently looking at moving farther north (live in Minnesota) which will give us far more options. Have begun to stockpile based on the lists you provided.

I think once the collapse occurs there will be many years of civil unrest. Far to many people are living off the govenment and they will be looking for everything from someone else. I can see another civil war in our future. This time it will be between the have and have nots. I hope I am wrong but do not think so. Water is my first concern. Realizing that u get a lot of replies, how do I keep the water in my cistern clean(germ and mold free). I have experimented with collecting dew, successfully. Ammo is another worry. Rumor has it that the Gov., is buying it up!!? I have a hunting slingshot. While it is not as fast a a gun, it will do the damage of a 308., for food of course. I have suspected for some time that big brother and big sister have been and are monitoring email and telephone traffic. Several years ago, I listened to a telecommunication expert speak about how a handset/wall phone in your home could be turned on remotely and used to listen in on conversations going on around it. Recently, a friend expressed the viewpoint that it was rediculous to think that a third party was listening to your private phone conversations. Today, that same friend, no-longer thinks it is rediculous, as he was talking with his elderly mother via land line telephones when they both heard someone else cough into another handset. No other telephones are installed in their houses. HHHhhhhmmmm….

While I have long been a propenent of solar systems, self-reliance, etc., I am not an apocalyptic doom-sayer nor a distruster of government. In fact, I am “patriot” enough to recognize that (generally) the duly elected government “of the people,for the people” does a damn good job.

Economists are saying that the dollar will be worthless this year. I depend on a government check for my daily bread. I can not afford to buy silver or gold, in this case savings is not the answer. What is?

I do like what you’re doing mate, altough I do not always agree with some comments made here; aspecially the ‘foreign’ policy ones. Frankly; you can only advice us and other people so much and I’m sure most of us can only finance little if anything for preparedness. Fact is: a lot of stuff and facts that you’re showing and discussing are quite different in other countries and ironically some of the materials have lately been classified as ‘sensitive materials’ and aren’t even available here due to US-Export restrictions! Personally; I’ve got other worrries to take care off first: me and my family have found ourselves in this basic ‘survival’ state that you are warning for, for quite a while here in Canada. In actual fact; within two years of entering this country as immigrants from another British Commonwealth Country. I’m a gunmaker by trade and due the very latest (1st of April 2013) US Arms export-sanctions put in place by your goverment and orchestrated by the Homeland Security council; it has now become impossible for us to import any gunparts whatsoever any longer: only hitting us hard that are working in this trade and no doubt I’ll be forced to shut down my little business in the very near future! Sadly; your countries measures will prove fruitless in the end: it will put your country and its tax-payers deeper in the hole then it already is and it will not affect the targeted ‘terrorist’ cells in any way, but just the lower working class people like us!

following your recommendations we now have the survival basic needs, power,food, etc. Now one
thing that is beyond our control is when the dollar loses its status as the world currency and that
will mean the dollar will lose about 90% of its value. Whats going to happen when the property tax
man shows up….no taxation want drop 90% of its value…..not being able to meet the taxes will result in you losing your home…..there goes the electrical power, your garden space…and it my case the well and all of the farm animals that i depend on. Just maybe i could or would be lucky enough to sell some eggs, meat….but that is not likely enough. YOU know i saw this happen to a lot of people in the 30’s…including my own dad….but this time it will be a lot worst. All of the

Frank, I purchased Power4Patriots because I recently retired and planning to move from my suburbian home in Texas to several acres in Tennessee later this year and would like to research doing as much to become self sustaining as possible. Current plans are to get some chickens and maybe a few goats, try to build a wind generator to power a gate opener and my outdoor model railroad to begin with and put in some raised-bed garden plots.

I like to hear about environmental issues, food cons and conservation of our natural resources and the poisoning of our soil ,air and water.

Financial meltdown is a top concern. Water supply and food supply are the top concerns should a financial meltdown occur.

I think it’s ashame that we as american’s aren’t working to suport our families. I have been out of work since last Oct, after only working 6 weeks all last year. Uncle sam has a death hold on our lives. When job are waverd for annother 6 months by our fearless leader. There is no reason for the economy to be where it is. The data that I have doesn’t give the demensions of frame except. For length of pieces. And I can’t find a vacuum pump. Kits do not include all the necessary equipment needed.

Well since you asked, I bought your power4patriots solar and wind turbine dvd;s because since I have been a single parent most of my adult life, I have struggled with having the money to do anything. My boys are now grown and I am still working 6 days a week with no end in site. I basically have no retirment funds and what pension I may get from the many jobs I’ve had throught the years will not amount to much. So my retirement plan is to move to the mountains and get back to the basics. I am so sick of paying bills that I feel I am being over charged for that I have said for years that when I retire I want to fall off the face of the earth. But in the mean time I’m not getting any younger. My son is the one who planted the seed of going to the mountains. For the past five years or so I have just been plugging along hoping everything would work out eventually. Well since that seed was planted I have gotten the spring back in my step. I have a plan now and I have about 8 years to work it all out. I live in the country now so I have the freedom to do things here without to much interfirence from YOU KNOW WHO. I already have a few ponies and a couple horses, chickens, and a few ducks. I thought I would have a milk cow in my new life but have changed that to a couple goats. I can still have milk and butter and cheese but can also use it for soaps and shampoo. Plus if a critter comes out of the mountain and eats one it will be a lot easier and cheeper to replace. Just being practical. My garden is improoving every year, thank you chickens, ducks and horses. I sell my extra eggs and produce at work so I can keep some of the money I make instead of giving it ALL to the government. I can file farm taxes so I have a lot more write offs. The government is not spending my money wisely so I resent having to give it to them. This year I am adding more fencing so I can rotate my pastures and improve the quality of grazing. I want to build some solar panels and get that working for me. The less money I have to spend here the more I have for my mountain home, plus I’ll have the bugs worked out. Since I’m not getting any younger I want to heat my new home with hot water. That idea I got from you. Warm floors in the winter what a luxury that would be. I am designing my house and barn to be one unit so if the weather is real bad I won’t even have to go out for a couple days. I have a structure that is made of metal tubing that I want to turn into a green house but don’t really know how to go about that. Your blog about keeping servival supplies in a seperate area hit home so the first thing I want to build when I get my property is an EARTH BAG BUILDING. I am saving up all my feed bags for this purpose. I’m also saving bailer twine because that stuff is great. I make ropes out of it and I intend to start crocheting it into bags or mesh or whatever I need it for. We have quit a few Amish around us so I have been checking into how they do things. Like their Ice houses for example.
I prefer to believe that our government could care less what little ol me is up to. This helps me sleep at night, but my new life can’t happen soon enough for me. I will gladly walk away from 9-10 hours a day 6 days a week. I don’t have time for anything but working and sleeping. Sometimes I get overwhelmed when I think about everything I’ll have to do in my new life but then I have to stop and tell myself that I won’t be spending 10 to 12 hours away from home everyday. You recently sent me an email wanting to know my fears and true concerns for better material suiting those needs. Truthfully, there are so many issues and remedies to those issues flying around the internet it makes it hard to choose who is legit & who is just scamming me out of my money and using all these issues for the almighty dollar, which is NOT so almighty anymore. Like hoard food buy our stuff you buy their stuff and then the next is they are coming for your food…..so why the hell did I just spend my money on their food. Not everyone is able to afford all this stuff to supposedly save the lives of themselves and their families. Frankly, I am a little pissed off about all of it…I have spent all I am going to spend on survival materials, food, videos & meds to help me. It isn’t helping it’s hurting me.

Not everyone can buy a crap-ton of gold and silver and store it in another country or have passports and bug-out plans to leave the country. This is my country I love my country and all it used to stand for. Thanks for all the info I have received from you. My biggest fear is not being properly prepared. We do what we can, but we live paycheck to paycheck and there isn’t very much left over. We stock up on canned goods when on sale and we can afford to. We do have a great garden, in fact I still have some food in the freezer from last growing season. Fortuneatly we live in a very rural area and are surrounded by hunters, fishermen etc. We moved here from the city and they have been wonderful in helping us to adapt to life here. I don’t fear not being able to afford a weapon as I feel safe with my neighbors. They talk alot about what life was like for their families back in the depression era, they know how to survive and are willing to share the knowledge. They think when everything collapses we will go back to a barter system. I just pray that we can survive and do the best we can to keep improving our preps. We will be working on an outdoor refridgeration/freezer system outside this summer. Apparently where we live if you dig 3 feet down frozen food will survive! Guess there is some good to living in a very cold place.

what do you you know about military blackhawk heliocopters patrolling our major cities?

the overall water supply in the world?

getting out of a huge city such as Houston, TX that is now too large to really evacuate a hurricane?

Hi frank, every thing you havr put out there so far has been great, but what ticks me is the gov. going overboard in its authority and if the shtf the gov will stop del. of fuels from being del. so my questian is alternative fuel like moonshine,aka ethanol, turning veg oil into diesel and so on, if you have a chain saw or garden tiller or stand alone gen, will need something to make it run. will be waiting your reply and thanks.

I live in a townhome triplex. Many of the ideas are great and I like reading them and becoming informed, but many are not workable since there are community-wide restrictions and the portion of land that I own has my home on most of it and there is a very small patio outside the front door. Very little space to stock up on anything as well.

I would like to pose a question that truly bothers me as I prepare for the downfall of our nation:

I know that there will be those who didn’t look, listen or take survival efforts seriously who will wind up on my doorstep begging for a handout. That person will be instructed to leave or take the consequences, up to and including being shot to death. But here’s my problem: If this guy brings his starving children with him I will be in a real stressful position. I don’t want the kids to see me shoot their father, nor do I want to feel like a monster by turning away starving children. In such a situation, I would like viable alternatives to actions to be taken that will not deprive my own family from the benefits of having sufficient water, foodstuffs, medications, bullets and weapons. One person I spoke with told me to simply shoot the father and the children…I know that is not an option I care to take. Any ideas?

That is a serious problem in this country, that we cannot trust anyone, even when we are paying for their services, & have Health Insurence. I hate having Health Ins., …it only means the Psychotic Doctor will be paid, even if he murders me, or injured, mames, sterilizes like a dog, or prescribes unneccessary medications that are guaranteed to destroy my Health with prolonged use, & the doctor claims they must be taken for the rest of my life. How many panels does it take to produce electricity and the connection for electricity was very poor. I could build the panels but? Also the wind turbine, where or how is the hub made or come frm. All this does is chg a 12 volt battery? Disappointing.

I bought your Power 4 Patriots solar info, an excellent package, so that our small charity can provide power – light, and water pumping for many clinics and isolated villages where we work in bush areas of East Africa.

My husband and I are British- actually from Scotland and have worked all over the world for over 30 years. Our kids were raised in East Africa in both Christian and Muslim countries where they ran free from an early age and grew up speaking 4 languages. They were the only white kids for 500 miles yet were NEVER in danger.

I have spent time with friends in various parts of the US and find it a beautiful country yet It is the only place I have ever been where I have found people to be living in fear and so absolutely paranoid that they are about to be attacked.

I have received the cd rom on power for patriots; wind generators and solar generators. I would like to see some information on air water generators. They consume some energy but would also eliminate the need for water purification at least as a percentage. Also if i build 2 wind generators and a solar generator my power requirements can be modified to fit any need. This 3rd element in emergency preparedness seems logical to me. Wind, solar, water. Many of my emergency food items include dry soup mixes, if i was running a water generator i could use this water for drinking as well as making a nice soup. The cost recovery curve is around six years. Do you know what the cost of an air water generator would run.?
On another note, i would enjoy it if all of america could have emergency power and all of America could enjoy a garden. This would reduce America’s carbon footprint by 10% per year forever.

Have enjoyed the info you’ve sent out since i ordered the solar panel info. I’m retired and have been gathering info on several fronts and working to putting investments, protection, survival together , not only for me and my wife, but my 4 kids and their families.

There is a lot of fronts to be working on ( while still working part time, after retirement) so I’m not sure what to tell you that you haven’t already covered.

On the survival front, things like ‘ what do i do if I ( and each of my kids families) need to think about to be ‘READY’ if they need to ‘grab and go’. What do you need to have ( list) in your grab and go bag(s). How will you survive for “x” days? How will you protect your home (if you stay there)? You’ve covered the power, water, food, protection. I’m thinking about any attacts on the air we breathe, what if we get a solar flair or energy field boom that knocks out the use of our communications.
Also what if the US Dollar Bill, becomes worthless, how will we ‘barter’. How about fuel for our cars or motorcycles…..can we come up with a conversion to make them work?

The one thing that concerns me most is, how do I protect myself and family from a solar EMP. Do I need to build some sort of special shelter or can it be survived if we stay in our own home. I have food supplies and the water issue sorted out, so I am basically prepared for afterwards, but not the event itself. Can you help with this please Frank. Hello Frank! While I’m not quite finished ‘digesting’ the info You’ve provided me with, I HAVE decided how to begin my switch to free power. I mean, face it, You are a serious wealth of knowledge regarding self-reliance and preparedness and I appreciate that and value it to the highest degree. My wife thinks I’m crazy but when the time comes (and it will) she’ll be glad her husband is nuts!. Currently I have asked the state of Ohio what I need to do in order to begin the implimentation of wind turbines and attachment to my panel. Permits, zoning etc.I live in an older neighborhood but it is still pretty nice. Not too much vandalism or theft. I do have a privacy fence topped with Nixalite, a bird deterrent. For those that don’t know what it is, it’s stainless steel needles ranging in length from 2″ to 4″ and VERY close together. Often it can be seen on the tops of signs where pigeons like to roost. It’s not the easiest to work with but the city frowned on barb wire and electric fencing. I asked. I mounted it on the inside of my fence with #8×1 1/2″ galvanized screws at the top rail. It can’t be seen from the outside but the warning signs can. While I wait to hear back from the state and city I have begun planning for my aqua garden and am planning on getting a few chickens. I am rebuilding my shop to help accommodate my endeavors including a 2nd floor and wood stove (which is what I have been using in my home home for several years) Guess who is everybody’s buddy when the power goes out? I have saved every scrap of e-mail to a file on my laptop as well as a portable hard drive. I think I’m gonna build me a Faraday cage this week using a steel trash can and some of that rubber stuff you dip your tool handles in to insulate the inside. I have also been buying scrap silver for quite a while and will continue to do so. Always picking up ammo here and there while/when I can and have begun my own AR build. As far as the dooms day prepping, I feel that’s for people that don’t know God or don’t care to know him. God’s has a plan to get his church out of here before all the crap starts. I have about ten acres of land. A stream bisects my property. I’m interested in the idea of using the flow of the stream to generate power for my property using water turbines, but am concerned with costs and getting the project approved by both local zoning and state (NY) and federal environmental regulators. Is this something you know anything about?

I am a retired state worker, and finding that I am falling short in my monthly budget. I have found your material very good, and fills a need for situations that might occur rather quickly. Unfortunately with my financial status, I find that I cannot begin to compile the neccessary equipment for the projects. I have thought previously about getting a natural gas generator and hooking it up to the city gas line, that would provide electricity for my home in the event of an electrical outage. But in pricing them at Lowes, I found them to cost around $3,000, which was prohibitive for me too.

I am concerned about people who think that they have been born again by just saying “I believe.” They are being mislead by Pastors in congregations of the ONE church that Jesus the Messiah built. The scribes made errors in handwriting copies of the original Scripyures as well as the translators that have made copies in other languages.

The public should know how to protect themselves from our food industry. The F.D.A. doesn’t have our best interests at heart and our Government stands by making money from it. Cancer is caused from our food and environment. We need to protect ourselves through knowledge.

My worry has to do with total economic collapse in our country, and that such a collapse will trigger social chaos, lawlessness, gangs roaming neighborhoods and the countryside, looking to take by force from those too weak and unprepared to defend themselves. We’ve seen news footage of such chaos in other countries and I believe it is the foolish American who thinks such lawlessness can’t happen here. I fear that with economic collapse, gas would skyrocket without warning, and food would disappear from shelves overnight. I worry that it will happen so rapidly that I would be extremely fortunate to be able to single-handedly fight my way back to my adult children and grandchildren 300 miles away. I have such fear of this scenario that for the past five years I’ve maintained a 55 gallon drum of fresh gasoline..to give my wayward ass a fighting chance of getting back to my children’s compound.

I am very concerned about lossing our second amendment rights. If we lose our right to keep and bare arms what other right will be taken away. If these people in Washington we elected to protect our rights through the constitution start rewriting the costitution, there is no stopping them. If you want to get into some really crazy stuff, you need to research the FEMA camps that have been set up by the Goverment. I got a contact that drives a FEMA semi who told me that they have delivered over 3 million plastic coffins to those camps in Colorado and Texas. He doesnt know how many more have been delivered to other camps. He says that the camps look like modern day German prisoner of war camps with the double layer fences that have the concertina wire facing in and not out.
What do you think that is really all about?

Live off grid as much as posible as it may be a requirement later I am buying like crazy as the money could be worthless by supprise any time. I have 14 interstate 6 volt 420 AH deep cycle batteries in series parallel for 12 volt system for my solar system and 64 amps from my panels to charge. Going for 10 more bateries and another set of USA made solar panels for storage in a faraday cage. 5460 AH should keep me in power with a good margin. Got 12 volt pump for my water well and a lot of LED lights. Have a 3 cu ft fridg for minimum cold storage. Getting into hydrophonics & aquaphonics plus my conventional garden fenced uo to 8 feet high & locked. A loud mouth doxadore doggie near the garden. Portable water purification as well as permanent purification.

How well do the solar panels work under a bunch of trees. Is it necessary to cut a bunch of them down because I do have a lot of trees around my place.

More on how to choose solar power and the size needed. How to keep a water pump going for a dairy farm. Can a freezer be kept going on a portable solar generator. Can power be stored for later. Is it best to buy much equipment now before an inflation or money is evaporated. What would be the best investments.

Today’s government seems to be slowly choking our freedoms out of us ever so slightly these days. My case in point, HR 1505. The department of Homeland Security enacted Constitutional Free Zones around the borders of the United States. Any citizen, living within 100 miles of the US border, may as well give up his or her 4th amendment rights. DHS can search, seize, and summarily detain anyone within these regions without due process. How could this happen? Surprisingly, the bill was passed by Congress and the president and was never challenged directly by the Supreme Court. Our politicians, our representatives, decided that the Bill of Rights applies, but only when they want it to. With this fundamental right given away so easily, it scares to me think what else will be torn from our near-empty hands. I live in New York and within this 100 mile wide “Constituional Free Zone.” I should be careful what I say I guess, I am only protected by the First Amendment.

The US Green Back money wont be worth the paper its printed on. Traditionally bartering was the way people got what they needed. Gold, silver, salt, chickens, whiskey was used. In your opinion what do you think would be the best thing to put aside to use.

A lot of the stuff that you sell can be found on the internet for free. Just go to any LDS website and they have a wealth of information on preparing and storing foods. Much more helpful than the items 10 items that you recommend we store up. LDS website has hundreds. You can also get info on solar ovens, rocket stoves, gardening, canning and much much more.

What concern me are the current government and the agenda that it is pursuing. Everything that I spent 26 years serving in the U.S. Navy giving other countries the chance to have (Freedom of Speech, Religion, Voting, the right to bare arms, etc…) is being slowly taken away. And the people of the once great country want it that way. I do not care so much for myself. It is the fact that this current government and its decisions are seriously going to affect my children’s future. That really chaps my behind. This country is being systematically divided and conquered and the general public is cheering it on. I could continue but I have said enough. Thank you.

I am concerned about how this Government has been stripping the people of their rights, devaluating our currency and giving us huge inflation by printing money around the clock.

As a Soldier, I swore an oath to defend the Constitution against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic. What has me angry is what are the senior leaders in the Pentagon thinking and when are they going to arrest this POS for his attack on the Constitution? Obama,Holder Clinton, Emmanuel, they all need to be locked up! What agencies does obummer plan to use to take away our guns? I will not freely surrender my weapons! What do we do when they come knocking on our doors??

The thing that I am most concerned about is the erosion of our right to bear arms, which also infers the right to have access to ammo. the current Adminisration is on a warpath to restrict this right, they do not have the right to do this! We need a well armed population to ensure our Country is safe and sound from internal as well as external forces.

I think the information on video number 6 is vague.
My concern is that the information about how to do this solar technology is just a bunch of hype and will add more yearly expenses in the form of battery maintinance and maintaining the efficiency of the solar panals.

My main concern is to know and understand the indicators for the coming crash. I am watching the dollar because I know that when it sinks infation will increase rapidly and interest rates will rise. What are some others worth watching?

I think the conceal carry license or permit is of course to make money but also to find who has guns to take from them when the gov. choose to. no permits for me I will take my chances good luck to all that have conceal carry permit.

I am fortunate to live in alaska. I have a cabin built out in the remote part here. I am worried that obama and his croneys are attempting to disarm honest americans while all the crooks run wild with stolen guns and nothing happens to them. I guess the have nothing to lose. I am prepared to live at my cabin for at least two years with out coming to town for supplies. I have my main cabin (two story) and a guest house also two story. Iam adding another 20X20 two story unit next to my main cabin.Live on a drinkable water lake with moose and caribu around. If the government keeps up it dishonest crap, and they will,I’ll be moving out there. I wont’t give up my guns and freedom for the likes of congress. once they got a taste of limitless money and power they gave up on the honest tax payers.I’m prepared to defend this nation and the constatution like i did in 1962 when i joined the military.

Frank, I read your emails religiously and have saved them in my prepping folder when applicable. However, one of my biggest concerns is the possiblility of the NWO and the govmt instigated martial law because of say economic collapse, EMP, any other threats to our safety. I understand it is a subject no one really can feel free to talk about especially with the Utah electronic data storage. I am most concerned about timetable range as I have put plans into place but need time to carry out my total preps. I feel that things are accelerating at an alarming rate and forget the Lame Stream Media. They won’t even discuss anything especially Fox News Channel because of what happened to Glenn Beck’s program. Lest it happen to the rest of Fox NC lol. MY BIGGEST FEAR…
Obama will run a third term. I’m told this is impossible, however
he could by proxy perhaps, or he might overide our Constitution. If so, our country WILL be a socialist nation, it will colapse and everything my great grandfather (Civil War) my dad (WWII) and son (he just returned from a tour in Afghanistan Army Infantry attched to Special Ops) fought for will be in vain. I pray for our country and want forgiveness for taking our great nation for granted for so many years.

I was born and brought up in Mass and neither my family nor myself have ever voted on the Democratic ticket, although now I give my eye teeth to have President Kennedy back in office. It has been Glenn Beck and your website that has woken us up. My husband and I attended Glenn’s meet in D.C.and from that point on we are aware.

is the cost of home energy. My Dad was ahead of his time. He always said one day there would be a civil war and we would be energy deficient. I didn’t understand why he had me build my home with low ceilings, and invest in pellet stoves.

We also have a well, 300 ft deep so we’ll need the solar panels energy to keep in running.

We also need to figure a way to convert our pellet stove to either process wood chips or find a way to process the wood chips ourselves bc it’s only a matter of time when the cost will soon be unatainable.

food shortage. We are focasing on energy bc without energy I can’t house or freeze food, so right now…really I took a breather to write this…I am clearing out our basement that has become an unnecessary storage bin. I figure by spring we will have an excellent cold storage/root cellar and we’ll educate ourselves on food storage.

We are also going to get our gun license.

I will by the end of summer probably have made a passive solar water heater and attached a solar water to air heat exchanger to may air conditioning air handler. My next plan is to build a passive in floor heat in a cabin in the Garrison , ND area. I will also be starting up an organic farm in northeastern MT. I don’t know if I will be able to get everything done. Backup Plan is to start some wind energy projects around both of the above mentioned locations. My biggest concern is if the government starts there internment camps which I believe will lead to domestic unrest then hang on to your hat everything goes. I believe there will be law and order in most of the states that did not vote for the current president though I can’t say a lot for either of the Bush’s both parties are idiots. Some politicians may be seeing the light I see that our newly elected Democrat from North Dakota told Obama she will not support any new gun legislation I guess we’ll see when the rubber meets the road.

Great job Frank . But I’d like to see more no bug out bags and survival shielters and a good list of books to read. I bought farm 2 years ago just off I-40 . So I’m thinking of a secure shielter in my field.One that will last for years.

What alarms me is that we are following the path of Hitler and men of his kind. Hitler was an eloquent speaker and convinced German’s to do unspeakable things and it is not just the killing of the Jews. He committed so many crimes against humanity it is mind blowing. I lived in Germany in the 60’s and 70’s as a military dependent and we lived off base for many of those years. I lived with Germans and listened to the stories of their parents, friends, and neighbors. Reading books does not give a person the kind of understanding that hearing it first-hand gives. Hitler was both a genius and a tyrant. He made everything he did sound so wonderful and he put people under his spell. Then before the people could react, came the concentration camps, mass murders, taking of the children and the list goes on and on.

America is now following in Hitler’s footsteps. Obama stands before the people and convinces them that we need to disarm the American citizen. He speaks so eloquently that he convinces us just to follow along like a bunch of sheep. DON’T fall for it. He is lying! Even if you don’t own or don’t want to own a gun you must stand up and fight for YOUR RIGHT to own a gun. All American’s must fight to uphold the Constitution in its entirety. Our forefathers gave their lives for each and every right we as American’s enjoy on a daily basis. The President cannot pick and choose the Amendment’s he doesn’t want to uphold.

Mr. Obama has more armed Secret Service that any other President. He has armed guards at the school his daughter attends, but other children can’t have the same security, to make “other children” safe we must take guns away from law-abiding citizens.

Another alarming issue: While telling the citizens of this country to tighten our belts (my belt is so tight I’m turning blue) Mr. Obama and family are taking multi-million dollar vacations and our elected officials are flying around the country on the taxpayer’s dime. Congress isn’t doing their jobs they are just blaming the other party. The Senate is a place for bills to go and sit until they don’t matter anymore. The party systems and the Electoral College must go away. They both stand in the way of our country running efficiently. Congress should not spend 4 hours each day on the phone soliciting money for their party, they should spend their time doing their job…taking care of the people who elected them, not the people who paid for them. Obama says do what I tell you to do or I’ll quit paying Social Security or quit paying the military (my nephew didn’t get paid last month, he is in the Army). He is using scare tactics. We need to scare him right back and inform our elected officials including the President that they money that won’t be paid is their paychecks.

Another lie, no one that makes less than 250K will have a tax increase. Well I make $150 a week at my part time job. My taxes increased 5%. Two percent of that was the Social Security going back to the normal rate. So Mr. Obama why are you getting an additional 3% on a paycheck that earns less than $10,000 a year. Every person needs to take a close look at their paystubs.

Mr. OBAMA is not an American citizen, his education records are not real, he is a fraud!!! Yet the House of Represenatives will not take any actions against him. I don’t even think that he was re-elected in the 2012. I believe that American’s have been duped and the election was a fraud!

Well that’s my nickles worth.

What really scares me is that we could eventually loose our right to bare arms. President exercising marshall law to remove the guns and how crazy it will become. The plan is already in action with the secret prisons they are building. We are in for some crazy times ahead.

The ultimate frustration for an engineer is to know a solution to a major problem and not be able impliment a solution. One of our most serious problems these days is inexpensive energy. That along with the fact that whoever controls the energy supply is actually in control of everything … especially the econonmy. Our leaders seem to not even recognize that problem and have limited the production of petroleum, and a the distribution. On top of that, India, China and Canada are progressing in that realm. The “winner” in that effort will control the world economy. All three of those nations are going after energy beamed down from space. An energy delivery system in space is a lot like a generator energized by river with a dam. The energy is “free” and the only cost is the construction and maintainance of the facility. That has been proposed by engineers at NASA all the way back in the 80’s but has been turned down because of the high cost of delivery to orbit. Engineers at NASA have been trying to get NASA to work on a low cost system (the big dumb booster) but that has also been rejected. Obviously that would reduce the NASA budget. Every effort to convince the management that it would be a “boom” to the overall space program … including ventures to far space … have been ignored. There’s an old saying that we deal with evil in high places. That’s almost an “understatement”. Our nation is in trouble in a lot of ways, but the economy (economical energy) is where “the rubber hits the road”.

Your effort to economize the use of energy is the immediate solution to the problem. And it will suffice for homeowners. However, a LOT of energy is required for manufacturing, transportation, national defense etc. The supply for those items is best supplied by electricity and/or petroleum. Both are available in sufficient quantities, but we must convince our leaders to listen to the engineers regarding the alternatives for the solution and impliment their “best” choice.

After graduation (employment at NASA is like goint to graduate school) the Advent project has been the primary activity. For instance, is there a way of taking old 12 volt batteries, and reconditioning them safely, to hold a charge in a battery storage rack?

As for heat storage, what are the most cost effective methods of storing heat from Radiant Solar Heat or Hot Water Solar Heating?
