Hurricane Irma Closes in on U.S. Mainland, Promising Catastrophic Results
Oh, my goodness! Here we go again!
Just when things have finally settled down somewhat following Hurricane Harvey. Folks in Texas and Louisiana trying to get their lives back to normal. Now an even stronger hurricane appears ready to deliver a direct hit to Florida.
Hurricane Irma is a monster! As I look at its incredibly wide path, I cringe. My heart skips a beat as I realize how many Americans are going to be devastated by this gigantic, powerful storm.
Irma has already killed at least 14 people on islands southeast of Florida as I write these words. That death toll is certain to rise significantly. It has also destroyed countless numbers of homes and businesses.
And now it’s taking aim on what we have always called “The Sunshine State.”
Miles Away But Close to Home
As with Harvey, once again a storm that is still many miles from our 4Patriots headquarters is about to hit close to home. A number of us live in Florida, all of whom are in the storm’s projected path.
Several of us have spent the last several days evacuating to nearby states including Georgia and Tennessee. In fact, some have come directly to Nashville to be at our main headquarters.
Others have decided to shelter in place. We are praying fervently for their safety.
At least we feel good about one thing. We know that our employees who are hunkering down have stocked up on survival food, water and water purifiers, generators, power hubs and other essential items.
Irma… a Record-Setting Storm That’s Far From Over
According to the National Hurricane Center, Irma is the strongest Atlantic basin hurricane ever recorded! Once a Category 5 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 185 miles per hour, it was downgraded to an extremely dangerous Category 4 storm as of this morning.
Those maximum winds were constant for more than 33 hours. It was “the longest any cyclone around the globe has maintained that intensity on record.” That’s according to Philip Klotzbach, a research scientist at Colorado State University.
It’s difficult to imagine. The diameter of its tropical storm force winds is 300 miles. That’s approximately twice as wide as the entire Florida peninsula!
The square mileage of the tropical storm force winds is 65,000. That’s roughly the same size as Florida. It’s simply overwhelming to think about. And terrifying.
Battering the Caribbean… Taking Aim on Florida
Over the last several days, Irma has devastated the Caribbean with catastrophic damage.
It left Barbuda “barely habitable,” according to the island’s prime minister. The hurricane also crushed the U.S. Virgin Islands, Anguilla and St. Barthélemy.
Irma destroyed 95 percent of the tropical paradise known as St. Martin. Hundreds of thousands of people in Puerto Rico lost power, despite suffering only a “side swipe” from the massive storm. It is now in the process of pummeling the Bahamas and Cuba.
What kind of destruction will Irma unleash on Florida?
Killer Storm in the Southeast… Wildfires in the West
Everybody is talking about Florida, of course. That’s the state expected to take a direct hit from Irma. But this storm is so huge, so powerful, it is expected to wreak havoc on a number of other states.
Among those states in her path are Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, the Carolinas and even as far north as Tennessee and Kentucky. I would not be surprised if this storm establishes a record for power outages and property destruction.
Of course, Hurricane Irma is not the only threat Americans are facing right now. We have many employees, friends and family members dealing with horrific wildfires in Washington, Oregon, California, Montana and elsewhere.
Our thoughts and prayers are with them as well as they try to cope.
The Threats Just Keep on Coming
Yes, the threats are everywhere these days. The extreme weather events and the North Korean missile launches of the past few weeks are a stark reminder to all of us that this is why we prepare.
The potential dangers we warn you about on a regular basis are not idle threats. They are very real.
In fact, many of them are life-threatening. For some people trying to deal with disasters, their lives have been spared for only one reason – they were prepared.
They acquired the most essential items for their survival BEFORE tragedy struck. Items such as…
- Food4Patriots survival food, with a shelf life of up to 25 years.
- The Alexapure Pro, which purifies your tap water from the contaminants that are nearly always present, especially during a disaster.
- The Patriot Power Generator 1500, which can keep essential electrical appliances and devices running during power outages.
- The Patriot Power Hub, which will jumpstart your dead battery so that you can get out and gather other supplies that you need in a crisis.
Don’t Feel Helpless… There’s One Thing We Can All Do
Hurricanes… wildfires… tornados… lightning storms… blizzards… earthquakes… extreme heat… cyber and physical attacks against the electrical grid… Folks, this is exactly why we are in business!
This is what we do at 4Patriots. We help people such as you prepare for the inevitable crises in life so that you can become self-reliant and protect yourself and your families.
None of us can sit back any longer and say, “It will never happen to me.” As soon as we do, that’s when tragedy will strike and strike hard.
We’ll never be able to control the weather or threats such as North Korea. But the one thing we can control is how prepared we are to deal with emergencies.
Please don’t wait any longer to keep yourself and your loved ones safe.

Frank,,,
your food is above the rest of any survival food found on the market,, I have prepared some of it,, and found it to be supprising,,,due to a food allergey to bell peppers I can’t eat the breakfast potatoes, but I can everything else,,, excellent,,
I have always practiced having a food supply for emergency,, ever since I was a boy we have always had a storage room in the basement for home canned goods and I have always believed in it,,, now being an adult and in my own home I still look to do the same,, I have been in many areas of the world and seen much of disasters and being without,,, and this is a way to make sure that it won’t,, from a bug out bag,, to food,, to being prepared,, for anything from natural disasters to idiots in congress trying to make policy for all of us when they don’t even know that a cattle guard isn’t someone that stands around guarding cattle, but are bars across the road that cattle won’t walk over,,,
If you live in southern Florida, you will eventually be hit by a hurricane. Why risk it? Move while you can. We live in Virginia and have 6 months of 4patriots food. It’s tasty, long-lasting, and reasonably priced. Our prayers are for those people at risk. God bless. -Bart
I was looking to supplement my items with a medical kit basic items and Medicine
Hi 4Patriots. I live in South Florida Pembroke Pines. This storm will set a record for all time. I was in the Air Force and went to Keesler AFB for my Tech School in 1976. We were shown pictures and video of Hurricane Camille from 1969. It was unbelievable what damage a Hurricane can do. Irma is wider, completely larger than Camille. But Camille had 175mph winds with gusts of 225mph. I have my house boarded up knowing we’ll have water damage. I hope Irma will track far enough west that it will help us where we live.
we are in Broward Cnty we are boarded up have food + yours & all the otherr items we have been through hurricanes b4 but this 1 has me nervous I will go around the property tomorrow & inside & pray for HIS protection please pray for all of us I have spoken to 2 of your reps here in FL I hope I can contact them or have them call me to let me know they are ok as I type this it is beginning to blow/rain. the word IRMA is goddess of war we come against that & speak SHALOM “PEACE’ thanks Frank for what u & your crew does
I live in Zephyrhills, Florida. I have the water purifier, food, and greens. Because J live in a mobile home I will be at a shelter. But I’m ready.
I live in Central Florida. The weather experts today said, “No one in Florida is going to be exempt from this *monster* storm.” With that, I headed over to my storage locker and pulled two tubs of 4Patriot meals. I can’t tell you the sense of relief and satisfaction it gave me!
Hey its Steve from Alberta, Canada, i just want to say your products are great and that I appreciate companies like yours who offer such valuable information and products that help us all prepare for the unknown and inevitable.
North America in general has been lulled into this state of peaceful denial where most think being prepared for big life changing events isn’t needed. They are so wrong as the victims of these two hig hurricanes are finding out. We live on this big island between oceans in a peaceful country with peaceful neighbors where war only affects or politicians and the military- where they have to “go” to the war. Right now we have a crazy dictator threatening our very existence, we have multiple weather catastrophies tearing peoples lives apart- times are changing where this attitude may get you (or worse) your loved ones killed. The time of preparedness is upon us. I bought a large survival pack of your 25yr food and 3 cans of heirloom seeds -it came quick – its awesome stuff -I recommended it to all my close friends. Thanks.
Ps: its reassuring to know if we have a serious blizzard or anything else I have a months food supply for my family- that if my daughter looks up at me and says she is hungry I will have something for her to eat! Thanks for that!
Pps: I also very much appreciate your efforts to find the “original” non-gmo seeds!
I feel bad for the hurricane people.. but I am from Montana where Half of our state in burning up because of the tree huger… I do like what you people do…
Thanks for the information!
I have all your necessities except the power generator. I just cannot afford this at this time.
I have years of your Patriots4Food on hand, and the Pure Water purification system, the new Purifier Pitcher, and the air purifier. Thanks so much for making these things available. I live in Las Vegas. and we very seldom are hit with any kinds of disasters. The summer heat is another story though, but I have lived here in the desert for 20 years now, and I don’t mind it any longer. Thank goodness for air conditioning (lol). Thanks again!
Evacuated Key West Wednesday night, keeps getting delayed now expected to hit Sunday am. We went to Clearwater being told it was expected to go up east coast, now looks like direct hit on KW and travelling up west coast. At this point we are staying put, 35 ft elevation in motel. Stories from friends travelling sounds like a nightmare, no gas, motel rooms, traffic at standstill, etc. In our rush to leave, we Left emergency food in KW. At this time don’t know if there will be anything to go back to, or when we will be able as Jose is following right behind. Going to be a long 2+ weeks. so much for our govt. having a good evacuation plan.
God bless your work and keep you all safe and sustained during And after Irma and Harvey.
Heard of a retired couple on the Virgin Islands. They were up high enough to weather the hurricane, but all the grocery stores are flattened and they only have a week’s worth of food. This is why having 90 days of food stored with (2) 55 gallon barrels of water is so important. We’ve tested some of our food storage and found it to be quite good. Well worth the investment.
Just wanted you to know that I passed out all the Patriot information that you provided e in hopes that others will purchase your fantastic generator. Several appeared to be interested.
NOT EVERYONE HAS THE MONEY TO BUY THESE THING…I HAVE A SMALL GENERATOR AND WATER AND SOME DRY FOODS…AND I CANT AFFORD WHAT YOU…JUST PRAY FOR US THATS ALL WE NEED..THANK YOU SANDRA
We are in the direct path of Irma in North Florida and we plan on hunkering down. It feels so good not to be scrambling for what to buy for food and water as we have the 3 month supply of food and the water purifier, Aquapure on hand. Thank you all for working to help people be self-sufficient. No government food lines for us.
Check out “What happens on 9-23-2017” By Robert Breaker. There are 100s of videos on the subject, but his is one of the better ones. End times are possibly coming, you decide!
We pray, all will be fine after, “IRMA” but it won’t be pretty!! Everybody Please heed the warnings of officials, stay safe, & the people of the US, will help you, even if the GOV, won’t have hope in your fellow man!!!!
Well heck, tried to get the platinum package you were offering, before Irma was known, had to spend what I had to get prepared, didn’t have the cash after. I live in cocoa Florida, getting ready for disaster, IF we make it threw this, I will save again to at least get the generator, maybe you will have the package deal again. Thank all, God bless.
I am a 70 year old, retired U.S.Army Officer, Ranger, Airborne, combat experienced Vietnam veteran and recently retired from my second career in nuclear security. I purchased the Patriot Power Generator 1500 package about ten months ago and in preparation for Irma’s arrival, got it out today and set it, and the solar panels up, for the first time. I found that the generator, as advertised, has remained fully charged while sitting in my garage and that it works perfectly. It has brought me an unbelievable degree of confidence and peace of mind that my wife and our family will do just fine if we experience an expected power outage that Irma may produce. I have purchased several additional items since the initial generator buy and have always found the men and ladies who answer the phone to be not only extremely pleasant, but very knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. Thank you for your great support!
WE are in Tn. Praying for all the hurricaine victims and families impacted by these horrible weather events.
Frank
I found an item missing from your list. I had an old propane hot water heater from my RV I used for camping. Just upgraded to a new one from Sportsman’s guide. I can use either a garden hose or a gravity feed to get hot water fast for a shower or cooking.
Our Church has encouraged us to always have plenty of food storage, and to be willing and able to share with those in need. Be Prepared!!!
We are right in the path of Irma. We have boarded up and gotten what few supplies were available. I’m grateful that I was able to buy 1 3month food kit but wish I could have afforded to buy the solar generator. My daughter and I have to head for a shelter for the storm but God willing we will have a home and food to come back to.
