Another flagrant waste of our money
Run by unelected officials whose only purpose in life seems to be to make life miserable for us hard-working, taxpaying Americans, the Environmental Protection Agency is at it again.
Apparently it isn’t enough for them to create ridiculous, unrealistic regulations that are destroying the coal industry, taking away jobs and ruining entire communities. Now they are spending huge amounts of money on an upcoming conference. And guess who has to pay for it. That’s right – us.
As reported by the Washington Beacon, the EPA will spend between $1 million and $1.6 million of taxpayer dollars on hotel accommodations for their “Environmental Justice” conference this fall. They will need 195 rooms for 24 days for this fiasco.
How does the EPA describe “environmental justice?” Like this – “fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.”
Excuse me for just a moment because I’m trying to figure out whether I should be laughing or crying. Fair treatment? Seriously? The EPA is just as bad as the IRS when it comes to mistreating conservatives and giving liberals a break. They wouldn’t know “fair” if it came up and bit them in the butt.
The Internal Revenue Service has been caught in lie after lie regarding its recent scandal involving targeting conservatives for extra scrutiny when it comes to applying for tax exempt status. Republicans are working hard to get to the bottom of that travesty, and it looks like now they’re also going after the EPA.
Just this past week, Representative Darrell Issa of California told EPA administrator Gina McCarthy that it was his intention to hold the EPA in contempt for withholding subpoenaed documents regarding employee misconduct and a pattern of obstruction by the House Oversight Committee. Good for him!
The EPA is claiming that missing emails and a crashed hard drive are what is keeping them from complying with the subpoena. Gee, I wonder where they got the idea for that particular defense. That comes right out of the IRS’ playbook.
Of these two government agencies – the EPA and the IRS – which do you think is the biggest culprit in terms of targeting conservatives, wasting our money and general incompetence?
Unfortunately we have a president that spends lavishly just like his departments below him more has been spent on his family’s outings than what England’s pay for their royalty in years. Too bad we the people have our hands tied and the government is to big to help you and me. We have a budget we have to try and live on but the government plays by a different story
I am very much in agreement with what Orrin’s above comment! However every stone must be upturned because as we know there under made a SNAKE ! We have allowed ourselves to become over run by the Power of Darkness. The power of Darkness which is the power of SATAN ! I made an extremely important statement over ” FIX THIS NATION ” and it was quickly determined to squelch my comment ! This is the reason I have not joined any of these sights like Facebook, Twitter and so fourth ! We have been invaded by Aliens from other nations and those who have become citizens of America and GOD knows where. I am a product of World War II

As always you are spot on. The EPA has been a total disaster for decades. They are simply a monster bureaucracy that accomplished nothing of note any longer. Sure, it was organized when there was a serious need to protect the land from out of control pollution of our lands and waterways. But, it outlived it usefulness and morphed into doing things to justify it’s own existence.
The IRS, EPA, FEMA, USDA, HHS, HLS and hundreds of other departments have done the same, simply become “whores” minority groups, eco-freaks and corrupt and socialist politicians.
We desperately need to clean out all the career politicians in DC and get people into office that believe in America and the Constitution. They must be (like us) angry, motivated and have a fire in their belly to clean up our corrupted government top to bottom.
That is what it will take to ELIMINATE or at least GUT these self-serving agencies, manned by incompetent career and “job bulletproof” employees.
Then, this new breed of representatives must earn their money! No long vacations and months long paid breaks. They must then hold whatever agencies remain after the cleanup accountable and take away their power to write “policies, procedures and rules” that carry the power and authority of law … without actually be a law approved by the house and senate.
I know … I’m dreaming!!! However, making such drastic changes is in OUR hands … We The People, So everyone … GET OFF YOUR FANNY AND VOTE! And, when you vote know who you are voting for, what they have actually done (not just what they claim to have accomplished) , and ignore the crap you’ve been pounded with in TV attack adds funded by special interests, most of which are pure unadulterated falsehoods and out right lies.

Great comments Orrin. i think we should add the brand of HYPOCRITE to the people of these agencies. I live in the west, and the land grabs they are making in the name of environmental protection is putting people out of work, and taking away some of the very heritage of the pioneers who made the west what it is today. Don’t even get me started on the “wild horse” debacle. Like you say — Let’s get off our duffs and vote these bloodsuckers out of office!

Hell they have all the answers anyway, don’t they at least that’s what they want us to think. more pork and BS just goes to show what a farce the whole bunch of them are ………………….
You know, there are times when something really gets you steamed up and you can’t sleep until you sleep on it.
As I awaken this morning an idea came to me out of the blue. What if all Government Agencies are forced to hold their conventions at the nearest FEMA Camp. I mean, I would like to get bang for my buck. It is apparent and obvious that the millions of dollars that you and I have paid as taxpayers for these secret insulations, should have some good use and or benefits that we can at lease say we got our money’s worth.
Think about it for a moment, a FEMA Camp can house at lease several thousand people. The FEMA Camp can feed and house these Government representatives for as long as they need to hold their convention. In this case 24 days for the EPA should be no problem. The Government land and facilities is being utilized and the price is of course minimal. These representatives wouldn’t have the typical distractions or added costs associated with a FEMA Camp like they would , say Las Vegas. Of course, there are a few draw backs, like there is no drinking in a FEMA Camp, no hookers, no shopping or sightseeing. You would be sent to do your job then sent back to where you came from.
If we were take the frills out of the convention scene the cost would be lower, the work would be done, and the representatives would be able to tell the rest of the country what it is like staying at a FEMA Camp.
I say it is a win, win for all if we send these people to hold their conventions at a FEMA Camp. What do you say EPA? are you willing to step up to the plate and do what is right? WHAT? “When PIGS FLY!” I thought so. Start flapping your wings. . .

It is about time that the President, Senate, and House of Representatives “GET OFF THEIR FAT BUTTS AND CALL THESE KNUCKLEHEADS ON THE CARPET!!!” The EPA will need to justify why they need this conference for 24 days? Perhaps we should have the supervisor pay for this conference out of their pay cheques.
I wrote a blog on how the IRS has taken advantage of the Taxpayer by going to a conference, whereby, the taxpayer footed the bill. The IRS was unashamed at the cost for the taxpayer. They felt that they were entitled. Now, it is the EPA turn. Like I had mention in my blog, each agency will apologize for any wrong doing only when they are caught; until the next agency comes along and does the same damn thing.
The EPA isn’t thinking of saving the taxpayer any money. They feel that they are entitled. So lets show them how entitled they really are; make them foot the bill. Make the EPA show just cause for a conference for 24 days. If they need 24 days; then put their happy asses on a military base to iron out whatever they feel that they need to work on. I bet you, that they won’t be there any longer than a week. If you take the fun and games out of the conferences; you will find that the conference will only last as long as it needs to be.
So start making those phone calls to your representatives and let them that you will not tolerate the EPA taking advantage of you. Tell your representative that you are holding them accountable as well as the EPA and its people.
I agree with everything you said, great ideas! The problem is like term limits- since they’re all in on the criminal enterprise that is our govt., how do we force them to do this? With force, of course. They’re like bangers with suits on- force is the only thing that will get their attention. Of course, our use of force will play right into their plans for martial law. I’m really sad to say this, but we are rapidly being shoved into a corner with no other way out. Please, dear God, help us to find another way!
