Hey, DHS, we’re not the bad guys!
There has been a lot of talk over the past six months about all of the ammunition and assault rifles that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has been buying. Just last week, in fact, Representative Jason Chaffetz of Utah questioned the DHS about what the Congressman called “massive” bullet buys.
Chaffetz, the chair of one of the House of Representatives oversight subcommittees, said that DHS currently has more than 260 million rounds of ammunition in stock, which represents approximately 1,000 rounds more per person than the U.S. Army has.
Lawmakers have been increasingly interested in these buys, demanding to know if the government has reason to believe that it will need the ammo to counter civil unrest or whether it might be trying to create a bullet shortage.
Nick Nayak, chief procurement officer for DHS, says that neither of those fears is warranted and that the department merely needs the bullets for target practice for their agents. If I could use that response as fertilizer, I’d have the best looking lawn on my block.
But let’s just say for a moment that we take the government at its word on that. How does DHS explain its recent retrofitting of 2,717 armored vehicles for use on U.S. streets? If that isn’t preparation for potential civil unrest, I don’t know what is. So, the question becomes, what do they know that we don’t know?
In my opinion, the answer to that question is “nothing.” Based on the state of the economy, the potential for financial disaster from ObamaCare, and the swirling rumors regarding food shortages and rising food prices, I think we know exactly what the government is preparing for.
Take a look at this InfoWars.com article, “Government Arms Race Kicks Into High Gear as DHS Buys 2,700 Armored Vehicles for Streets of America.” If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck…well, you know the rest. Remember when DHS was created as an agency to fight against foreign terrorists that sought to harm Americans? Apparently, those were the good old days. Now the agency seems to be gearing up for a conflict against Americans.
Why do you think DHS officials have been stockpiling so many bullets, assault rifles and armored vehicles? What are they gearing up for? Is it something they know is coming, such as economic collapse? Or is it something they will launch themselves, such as a campaign to take away Americans’ guns? Or is it something else? I have always felt that Obama is pro-Islam, and Anti-American, and that anything that Isis or other terrorist org’s. do is OK with him. This collection of arms and riot gear by DHS is news to me, but being a combat Vet I can see only one use for it. 1000 rounds of ammo per man for practice? Give me a break. I am afraid we will be in a war here at home, promoted by people like Obama who excuse all kinds of wrong doing with the excuse of “poverty and abuse” due to color. I grew up in a poor neighborhood and was one of the few guys my color, and I have the scars to prove it.

I agree whole heartedly with previous comments. I am a firefighter/EMT and I question whether most police would blindly follow directives to attack their fellow citizens, especially with the Obama administrations pointed attack on American police. As a military veteran, I also wonder if our soldiers would do the same, despite orders. Obama has made it very clear how he feels about our military, and trust me, our military knows it was the average constitution supporting American that has flown the flag and supported the troops. If the police and military flat refuse to carry out these directives, what would he do? Something even worse, I am sure, such as bringing his Islamic bros in to the fray….I think a new movement called the Trashmen needs to be founded…we the people are tired of the trash in DC, and need to take that trash out. A concentrated march on that pit of sewage with the removal of the garbage….the big variable is whether or not the police and military would allow it.

Pat, I too had repetitive dreams that I was running with a lot of other people from house to house and it was terrifying. The last dreams that I had were two and I believe symbolic of what we are facing now. I dreamed that I was trying to take off in an airplane to leave and was continually rerouted back to the airport. In the other dream I was at the beach and the ocean kept rising and we could not escape. Now it seems like the last two dreams symbolized the futility of running from the NWO.

I just read an article about people in power shutting down social media accounts they believe espouse extremist views. The examples of extremism they used would probably not bother anyone if they were shut down. However( and it’s a big HOWEVER), once they’ve accomplished that, who will be their next target. Would a website like this be next? Censorship is a double edged sword and can cut whichever way the one who wields it wants.
Since when does the government tell the truth about anything? Those purchases of vast amounts of ammo and weapons along with armored vehicles are for war against Americans. I thought we had a military as well as state national guards. I’m with you, homeland security shouldn’t have any need for that type of arsenal. Why do the feds need so much ammunition, arms and manpower. We should be shrinking the federal agencies and concentrating on reestablishing state sovereignty. The Constitution as written by our founding Fathers was to establish a representative republic with choices to be made by sovereign states. The IRS, NSA and Federal Reserve Bank should be abolished and the FBI and CIA should be used in a limited capacity….. None of these agencies are being used for what they were intended. It’s to the point where they are monitoring law abiding more than the criminals, terrorists and enemies of this country.

I only disagree with 1 thing above. The person who said that a cruise missal hit the pentagon is wrong. A cruise missal would have blown the pentagon into the atlantic ocean. Neither was it the commercial plane we are led to believe–that plane has a vertical stabilizer which is 41 feet from ground. Other than fire damage, there wasn’t a scratch above the second story (16 feet). I saw a video once depicting a white Cesna or Beachcraft plane heading for the Pentagon, which makes sense to me.

No but common sense would tell you that two rollsroyce 747 titanium jet engines weighing seven tons a piece would not vaporize in a fire fueled by jet fuel. It was definitely a cruise missile (or some kind of missile). That missile did exactly the kind of damage you would expect from a missile hitting the Pentagon (a fortified structure with thick walls). In fact it blew through several rings of the Pentagon, -which would take something (a weapon/missile) with enormous power/speed. So in my mind, a missile is exactly what it was.

After the battle for Independence they gave us Limited Government and Rights based on the principles stated in the Declaration of Independence. They knew Power Corrupts so they gave most of the power of Government to the States and to Citizens and severely Limited the Federal Government, then divided Those powers into three branches to prevent the accumulation of too much power in the hands of too few.
The obvious Original Intent of the Constitution was to Limit Power and thereby Limit Tyranny. Today we have supreme Court Justices that have publically stated they can’t figure out What the Original Intent of America’s Founders was!
America suffers from a Failed Judicial Branch and they are 1/3 of the power of the Federal Government.
It may be easy to establish the Fact that Any Law that limits Rights and Liberty for citizens while granting More Power to the Federal Government is most likely an unconstitutional law.
Limiting Big Government is Essential to Liberty and it must also be stated that : For Liberty to survive, every citizen must act Responsibly.
We have a court system that excuses irresponsible behavior and in some cases rewards it while passing the cost and burdens of the Liabilities created off on Responsible citizens to correct.
That is the Greatest and most Dominant INJUSTICE in America today.

I might also take this more seriously if the author had done even a minor amount of research instead of just repeating stuff gleaned from loony websites.
The large ammo “buy” was not a buy, but a MULTI-YEAR OPTION to get a much better price. It was to cover not just DHS agents, but the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, which supports 70,000 pistol-packing Feds from many agencies.
You might well question why the Dept of Agriculture trains its chicken inspectors on full-auto weapons (which they do), but the 5-year option for that many rounds is hardly shocking.
And those vehicles were fitted out for the USMC and Army when they came back from irag — had nothing to do with Homeland Security, though some may wind up there as surplus eventually.
None of this is hard to figure out if you know how to use a search engine.
I expected better from Patriot Headquarters. Perhaps I need to lower my expectations.

I know that our gov can’t do this by itself so I would like to know what they are offering to all of the soldiers and other help that they can get to get them to kill all of us. Freedom,money, to let them and their families live with them in the underground cities, what? If you actually look at birth rates of the races, the Mexicans are about third or fourth down the list. The greatest threat from that type of scenario comes from the Muslims who have a rate. last I heard of about 5.3 children per couple. They have already managed to obtain several towns in England where Sharia law is in effect.

six months ago I wrote the NRA and the Gun Rights of America specifically about the government hoarding ammo. You may call me a heretic of Americanism but consider4 this truth. You place so much weight in us good guys voting out the bad guys. That’s democracy, right? But these modern day tyrants have already subverted your right to vote and with it, our democratic republic. It called computerized vote fraud. Your votes are counted in secret (internal to computers). Even the source codes of the computers counting our votes are kept above inspection. What if every tenth vote for candidate A is secretly switched to candidate B? Would that be enough to throw an election?
