Do Your Joints a Big Favor
As we get older, one of our trouble spots is our joints. If you’ve ever experienced joint pain – or if you experience it regularly – you know how uncomfortable it can be. Fortunately, there are a number of physical exercises that can help reduce the discomfort associated with joint pain.
Of course, you should talk to your doctor before doing any of these exercises, but if he or she is OK with them, go for it and feel better.
- Sounds simple enough and it is. Walking regularly is especially good for those with rheumatoid arthritis, and it’s also healthy for your heart.
- While jogging can be good for your heart but bad for your knees, the smoother motion of biking is good for both.
- Yoga and Tai Chi. These disciplines can improve coordination and balance. They also lead to improved body awareness and the ability to relax.
- This physical fitness system not only improves controls of muscles, but also helps manage the pain of rheumatoid arthritis.
- Work out with Weights. If you can strengthen your muscles with weights, there will be less strain on your joints. The weights don’t need to be large.
- An aerobic workout in the water will help you stretch your muscles, soothe your joints and help you control weight.
Do you ever experience joint pain? Have you ever tried any of these exercises to help manage the pain? Are there any other exercises you do to help with this condition. I’d love to hear from you about it.

I have worked out doing water aerobics for months, that was the best thing I ever done for my body. Before I started doing aerobics in the water, I was over weight and in constant pain all the time. After just three months of doing water aerobics, I lost weight, the pain went awAy and I felt GREAT. I recommend this to anyone, no matter what condition your in, believe me you won’t ever regret it.
